Posters from my recently completed internship @hatchshowprint in my home of Nashville, Tennessee. It was an 8 week program that offered great insights in design, unique opportunities for understanding letterpress printing, and the chance to work alongside an excellent team of skilled artists. From musicians, to comedians, to theater, to all kinds of performers, Hatch Show Print does it all while using and preserving typefaces and wood blocks that have been around for 70+ years. I loved having the opportunity to learn more in my hometown and meet some amazing people. Hatch is the oldest continuous run print shop in the US and I also had the unexpected pleasure of discovering that I am related to the shop’s first known client, Reverend Henry Ward Beecher which was a fun surprise. I will never forget my time there.

last poster was a collab with @andyjoychase :)

Cammi the Chameleon 🦎 Created by @connerscomedy & @ari_orsino ✨ This is the second collab Ari and I have done together and I love working with them! I wrote this and Ari did all of the art, coloring, and lettering. Starting with Charlevoix and now a children’s comic felt very accessible. It was such a joy to create. I am excited moving forward to move into more mature themes in our future work! #comic #comicbookart #chameleons

WELCOME TO CHARLEVOIX 🎃 Created by @ari_orsino & @connerscomedy . Ari & I have been friends since Kindergarten, so it was especially awesome to collab and work on a project with them! It was my first time writing a comic and Ari did all the art, lettering, and coloring (and advice giving and notes). So thankful to have talented friends who are down to create together. Our weekly Google Meet calls were such a highlight for these past 2 months. I got to visit Charlevoix once and described it to everyone as a “fudge and taffy town”. While I was there, I got to see the Charlevoix town band which is comprised of community members and retirees. When the concert was over, they went across the street to have ice cream with their families. It was so cute and felt like I was in a Charlie Brown/Peanut’s episode which inspired me to make this! Happy Halloween 👻 #comic #charlevoix #michigan #peanuts #puremichigan
