I’m excited to announce my commitment to play flag football at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I want to thank my coaches, my family, my teammates, and my friends for their support throughout this journey. I also want to thank coach Liz and coach Katie for this incredible opportunity. First look at Husker women’s flag football quarterback Ariana Akey. 👀

Akey led Mountain Vista High School (Highlands Ranch, Colorado) to back-to-back state championships in 2025 and 2026, going 38-0 as the starting quarterback. by @arianaakey

Denver is still alive @nflflag

Husker commit and @maxpreps National Player of the Year Ariana Akey helped lead the Denver team representing the Denver Broncos into the next round of the 2026 NFL FLAG Championships.

The NFL FLAG Championships feature championship teams from NFL FLAG regionals hosted by all 32 NFL clubs and bring together top youth teams from across the United States and around the world.

Akey, one of the nation’s top flag football players, continues to add to an already decorated résumé as Denver keeps its championship hopes alive. taken in Denver, Colorado by @arianaakey
