Hello to all our new followers 👋 Today, let’s get to meet the face behind the design magic!

12 years ago, ADC’s founder Ariane moved from Quebec to beautiful British Columbia. We’ll let you in on some fun facts about Ariane:
> When Ariane’s not crafting stunning spaces, you'll find her exploring new wineries.
> Her recent trip to Ontario led her to discover Pearl Morissette, a sustainable winery with a captivating design that deeply inspired her. Their regenerative practices align with her vision for designs that harmonize with the environment + honor architectural history.

You’ll quickly find Ariane’s appreciation of understated elegance within ADC’s vision + timeless designs, creating spaces that stand out amidst the sea of design trends.

We hope you are enjoying this space, we love having you here! taken in Vancouver, British Columbia by @arianedesignco

There’s something about this soft, serene hue that feels like a reset—light, effortless, and full of possibility.

In interior design, shades of light blue have a uniquely calming effect, evoking the tranquillity of open skies and serene waters. It’s a colour known to promote relaxation, making it perfect for bedrooms, bathrooms, and living spaces where a peaceful atmosphere is key.

The architect’s foundation gave us a kitchen—but not enough storage or seating. We reimagined the space to maximize function and flow.

A custom banquette seamlessly connects the dining and kitchen areas, adding casual seating with hidden storage. We also incorporated a bar-height counter by the windows, offering a perfect spot to sip coffee with a view. Thoughtful storage solutions, open shelving, and a mix of natural materials bring warmth and balance.

Now, this kitchen isn’t just functional—it’s a welcoming, versatile hub designed for cooking, gathering, and everyday living.

Even mid-install, you can already feel the impact of larger pendants.

Swipe to see the starting point 👀
The three small, out-of-scale light fixtures they had before felt more like an afterthought than a statement.

Choosing the right scale and style for your lighting is everything! These pendants are more than just functional—they’re the jewelry of the space, anchoring the design and making an impactful statement without overwhelming the 8-foot ceiling height.

Investing in quality lighting isn’t just a splurge; it elevates the entire space. It’s the detail that adds polish, warmth, and personality to your home.

Do you agree? What’s your favourite part of this transformation?

From 📌 pins to reality—this Commercial Drive project in Vancouver showcases how thoughtful design can transform a home. We reimagined their main floor, turning a collection of scattered Pinterest ideas into a cohesive, functional space.

With an updated furniture layout, we maximized flow in the entryway, dining room, and living room, creating spaces that not only look great but work perfectly for their lifestyle. Custom storage solutions brought much-needed organization and style to previously underutilized areas.

We’re especially proud that this family trusted us enough to rehire us for another project—a testament to the seamless process and strong communication that guided every step. If your dream home is sitting on a Pinterest board, let’s bring it to life! by @arianedesignco

A powder room glow-up in the making, Nanaimo edition.

The second I added this wallpaper to the rendering, I knew it was the one. And can we take a moment for the statement light fixtures? How stunning! Swipe to see the concept of this coastal/transitional half bath and the "before" photo of the space.

Small bathroom, big impact! Powder rooms are one of my favourite spaces to design 💙
