August to September dump 🫰🏻

These past two months have gone by so quickly—full of new adjustments, responsibilities, and the little challenges that come with making a new home in the South. 🏡

It hasn’t always been easy, but somewhere between the busy days are the simple moments we’ve grown to love: slow mornings, shared meals, quiet nights, and just being home with family.

So grateful for God’s grace that has carried and sustained us through it all. His goodness has been present even in the ordinary.

A full season, a stretching season, but also a beautiful one. 🤍

Andres still wanted to go to school on his birthday, but he made it clear to us that he didn't want a Celebration of Life in school, so we just did a simple birthday surprise for him when he got home. Nothing grand. Balloon decors, cake and food delivery and his birthday wishes - more books and One Piece collectibles. He was very happy with the surprise! 🤗🥳

We ended the day walking around the village (we were so full that we had to walk it off😅) while praying over Andres and his years ahead as he grows up. Thanked God also for his life and the joy that he is giving our family. God is good! 🙏🏻

Happy 8th Birthday, Andres! We love you, our one and only "bruh"! 😘❤️

Happy Father’s Day to the man who holds the fort of our family with rock-solid strength, love, and faith. Thank you for being our steadfast provider, our safe place, our funny Tatay and the one who continually leads our home closer to Jesus.

Date nights are non-negotiable for us (even just in our tsinelas 🤣). With three kids and our hands always full, we can usually feel when it’s time to sneak away—just the two of us. We love our kids and love being with them so much, but oh, how we also enjoy these few hours of unhurried, uninterrupted conversation, having coffee and dessert in a café all to ourselves! Praise God, indeed! ☕️🫶🏻

P.S. Notice the total mismatch of date night outfits hahaha! JF just went home from the office in his formal wear and I just finished my work from home in my shirt and shorts! 😅 taken in Hatch + Hoolman Studio by @arianeenee

We truly enjoyed and savored the time away from our kids to focus on enriching our marriage this time. Grateful to God for the time we spent in CCF BGC's Cherish Couples' 2Be1 Retreat in Subic. (Kudos to the organizing committee and all the facis!👏🏻)

Key takeaways:

1. It's only when we are at our best as husband and wife can we be the best parents to our children, who are our legacy.

2. Leave, cleave, weave.

3. A person's love language is fluid. It can change depending on your life stage and the season you are in. Surprisingly, ours changed from when we started taking the love language test.☺️
