M&A est. 1992 - today it’s been 34 years since we promised to be side by side forever. Someone asked me the other day what the secret was and to be honest, there isn’t a secret. It’s just two people who refuse to give up on each other and who keep choosing to face life side by side with Love at the centre. We have had the very best of times and the very worst of times but we are best friends and soul mates who committed long ago to do this life on the same side, not against each other- which means we work it out, cry it out, talk it out, play it out, laugh it out. And now? All these years later? There’s no one else I’d rather grow old with, no one else who has my heart the way he does, no one else who makes me laugh, or roll my eyes, or smile at him the way he does. I thank God for bringing us together (it could only have been Him!) and I thank God every day for what we have grown and fought for and built together. Let’s grow old together my love, side by side…forever. #marriage #anniversary #letsgrowoldtogether by @ariannawalker

Will I do this every year? Probably not, or maybe I will, I don’t know… I guess it doesn’t matter…but today is three years since we said our final goodbye to my Dad and it feels like forever ago, and yet like yesterday. They say that about grief, and I found it to be true. He’s frozen in time whilst we carry on- growing changing, living life. So much has happened in three years and he’s not been here. We haven’t benefitted from his wisdom, his prayers, his hope and faith, or felt his quiet yet undeniable presence in any room he was in. We haven’t heard his guitar, or his voice singing worship songs, or enjoyed eating the food he so often cooked for us all. He hasn’t met the new members of our family, or celebrated the life-wins of his grandchildren. He is frozen in time, yet we carry on. So I guess doing this, remembering and sharing, helps me close the gap - that gap between his death and our still living, it’s my way of picking him up and carrying him with us, so he doesn’t get left behind in the past, frozen while we carry on. #rememberingmatters #painfulbutgood #grief #love #family by @ariannawalker

I’m excited to officially launch the next chapter of my work!

After almost 20 years of leading Mercy UK, this marks the beginning of what comes next.

The work I care about hasn’t changed—
it’s simply taking a new form.

I’m delighted to officially introduce Equipped for Life, where I support individuals, leaders and organisations to grow in capacity, strengthen resilience and lead with clarity and confidence.

This next chapter builds on everything I’ve learnt over the past two decades—combining coaching psychology, lived leadership experience, and a whole-person approach to growth across the business, charity and faith-based sectors.

It feels both new and deeply aligned with the past- I started Equipped for Life quietly a few years ago- but feel now is the time to allow the gained momentum to carry forward into greater impact and significance.

I’m also pleased to continue supporting the incredible work of Mercy through various governance roles internationally and here in the UK.

There’s something both exciting and unsettling about new beginnings.

We often think we need clarity before we take the first step — a clear plan, a sense of certainty, some kind of guarantee that it will all work out. But most new beginnings don’t arrive like that.

I’ve been reflecting on how many of the most important shifts in my life didn’t start with confidence — they started with a small step forward. A decision to move, even when I couldn’t yet see where the path would lead.

An understanding that what’s ahead is often behind a door that looks closed until you move toward it- like a sliding door, activated by motion.

So I’m in motion- a step forward towards a new vista that I can’t yet see in full. I’m choosing courage over clarity, movement without certainty- to begin, simply by beginning.

And maybe that’s the point.

If you’re standing at the edge of something new today — unsure, hesitant, waiting until you feel ready — maybe the invitation isn’t to have it all figured out.

Maybe it’s simply to take the next step, to sit with the paradox of happy/scared, excited/nervous - knowingly embracing the unknown.

And in doing so, reminding ourselves of Corrie ten Boom’s wise words:

‘Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God’. by @ariannawalker

This past 5 days we have walked (and sometimes danced) over 132km and it’s been such an amazing experience! The people we met, the chats we had, the prayers we prayed, the encouragement we gave, (and received) are all part of the Camino de Santiago journey. It was tough, painful even, but absolutely worth it- thank you all for your support! And thanks to this amazing team who made it extra special. #buencamino #caminodesantiago #forevermemories❤️ by @ariannawalker

33 years of loving each other. 33 years of learning that ‘I do’ are some of the most powerful words a person can say and live out. 33 years of adventure - building a life together, cheering each other on, fighting, making up, figuring each other out. 33 years and it’s not nearly enough- so much more ahead and I can’t wait to live it all together with you. I did, I do, I always will, love you. by @ariannawalker
