A gingerbread house that actually STAYS together? 🏠✨

Here’s my go-to royal icing recipe for building and decorating:

🤍 450g sifted icing sugar
🤍 60g pasteurised egg whites
🤍 ¼ tsp cream of tartar

Beat until thick, smooth, and glossy. For building, keep it **stiff enough to hold its shape**.

Save this for your next gingerbread house... and share it to your Stories so you don’t lose it! ✨

“A legacy of hospitality and heart…”✨️

That’s not just a phrase, it’s the foundation of everything I do.

I was raised to believe that food is never just about taste. It’s about how it brings people together, how it makes someone feel welcomed, cared for, remembered.

Today, I see those same values being passed down to my daughter. And in that moment, I realise… this is how legacy lives on.

Through hands that create.
Through moments that are shared.
Through stories that continue beyond us.

✨ At Aria’s Cakes, every biscuit, every gingerbread piece, carries that intention... crafted with heart, rooted in tradition, and made to create meaningful moments.

If you believe in creating more than just food…

💫 Follow for more stories of heritage & magic
💌 Or message me to create something special
✨ I’d love to hear your story…

What’s a tradition, memory, or moment
that has been passed down to you
something that still lives in your heart today?

Share it in the comments 💬

We spend so much of our lives working, organising, ticking boxes and thinking about what needs to be done next.

And before we know it, the little moments we were working so hard for have passed us by. ❤️

The Christmas baking with the children. The biscuit and cup of tea you never quite had time for. The tradition you meant to start. The thoughtful gift you wanted to make someone smile with.

These moments don't need to be perfect. They just need a little space in our busy lives.

That's what I love about gingerbread. It's never just about the biscuit or the house. It's about the people gathered around the table, the icing-covered fingers, the laughter and the memories that stay long after the last crumb is gone.

So, tell me… what's your main gig?🎄

Not every trend is meant for you.

I've learned that I'd rather create something people recognise, remember, and come back to than chase every new thing online.

At Aria's Cakes, it's about heritage, craftsmanship and bringing people together through the simple joy of baking.

Because the sweetest success is building something that feels like you.

Someone once told me, “Pressure is a privilege.” And I’ve never felt the same since.

Because pressure often means you have something worth showing up for. A dream you’re building, people who believe in you, opportunities you once wished for.

Running Aria’s Cakes has taught me that growth doesn’t always feel comfortable. Some days are demanding, some decisions are difficult, and some moments stretch you beyond what you thought you could do.

But I’m learning to see pressure differently. Not just as something to manage, but as a reminder of how far I’ve come and what I’m working towards. 🤍

Not every pressure is a burden. Sometimes, it’s proof that you’re living the opportunity you once hoped for.

The secret to decorating gingerbread? Getting the icing right! 🤍

You need icing that’s thick enough to hold its shape but smooth enough to pipe with ease.

RECIPE
250 gr icing sugar sifted
1 Tablespoon Egg meringue powder
1 teaspoon cream tartar
50 ml. Water

Mix until smooth, thick, and glossy. Adjust with tiny drops of water if it’s too thick, or add a little more icing sugar if it’s too runny.

💡 Tip: Your icing should hold a peak without spreading. Perfect for decorating gingerbread houses and biscuits!

Save this recipe for your next baking session and follow for more gingerbread tips. 🍪

I’m not just a baker. I’m an artist.

Every piece of gingerbread I create starts with an idea, but it comes to life through my hands — shaping, sculpting, decorating and adding all the little details that make it unique.

AI can create an image of a gingerbread house.

But it can’t create the hours of craftsmanship, the imperfections, the story and the human touch behind the one sitting on your table. ❤️

That’s the difference.

It started with a design on paper.

Then came the flat pieces, the icing, the little details… and finally, a Victorian gingerbread house ready for Christmas. ✨

And the best part? You don’t have to be a professional baker to make one.

My digital template guides you through the process, with recipes so you can create a beautiful gingerbread house of your own.

Sometimes, all you need is the right template to bring the idea to life. 🤍

NEW ON THE BLOG ✨

Every gingerbread character has a story… but where does it come from?

For my October blog, I’m introducing some of the little characters who have found their way into my gingerbread world.

A cheeky brother.
A book-loving little mouse.
A mother who filled Christmas with carols.
And even a few characters who might remind you of someone in your own family… 🤎

Because for me, gingerbread has never been just about houses and biscuits.

It’s about imagination, childhood memories and the little details that stay with us.

Every Gingerbread Story Starts With a Character.
Come and meet mine in this month’s blog. 📖✨

I think when we talk about five-year plans, we often think about the big things. Business goals, financial milestones, achievements, the next big step.

But the older I get, the more I realise that some of my biggest dreams are actually quite simple.

To have time. To create. To travel. To keep traditions alive. To sit around a table with the people I love and not be in a hurry to leave.

Of course, I have ambitions for Aria's Cakes. There are so many things I still want to build, explore, and achieve.

But I also want to enjoy the little moments along the way.

Because what's the point of building a life you love if you're always too busy to live it?

Tell me, what's one thing on your five-year plan that might seem small to everyone else but means the world to you? ❤️
