Youth World Championships 2026 ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น p.23 For 4 years now, one of my biggest goals was to one day get to compete at youth worlds. Iโ€™m really relieved I finally had the opportunity this year because I was starting to think I might not ever make it. Coming into the comp, I had no idea what to expect. I was just hoping for like top 40 or something. Iโ€™m really psyched that I managed to have a great mindset in qualis and just barely secure a spot in semis which exceeded my expectations. Semis, however, did not go how I thought it would. I usually thrive in onsight rounds. But on the morning of semis I just felt so incredibly weak and tired. I felt like I forgot how to rock climb and my head just wasnโ€™t in it which lead to really poor decision making and terrible attempt management on boulder 2. I completely pumped myself out and was fully unable to recover for the entire second half of the round. Although I know that my inability to recover was due to my fractured finger preventing me from training endurance all season, Iโ€™m still really frustrated because I feel like I didnโ€™t give myself a proper chance to show what I know Iโ€™m capable of. Iโ€™m just so annoyed about my semis performance and itโ€™s definitely gonna take some time to move on. But Iโ€™m trying to not let it cloud my feelings about the comp as a whole because I am quite proud of my climbing in qualis. Competition aside, this trip was one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life. it was so awesome to spend a week in a beautiful town in Italy with so many of my friends, eating gelato and going in the river every day. Iโ€™m so grateful to everyone who made this trip possible for me. It was truly a dream come true. 2026 Boulder Divisionals ๐Ÿฅ‰ Managed to get a solid result despite having a broken finger. My mindset in comps has been a huge struggle the last few seasons and it was especially bad throughout this season. However, I came into this comp with the best mindset Iโ€™ve had in many years. Even when things were going south I was able to keep it together super well and Iโ€™m very happy about that. In qualifiers I had a super good round and tied for first. Finals definitely wasnโ€™t my best round but Iโ€™m glad I was still able to secure a spot on the podium. Thank you so much to @usaclimbing and @boulderfield for gosting the event. Atlas Shrugged v12 kept forgetting the beta mid-send, hence why its not my smoothest climbing ๐Ÿ˜… felt quite easy for me tho cuz it really suits my style did all the individual moves to the lip in about 10 minutes before it got dark. the next day, after spending a good minute figuring out the top out, i put it all together on my first send go. by @ariefrnagara
