“It Takes A Real Lady To Be In The F.O.X “ 🦊

As I take my final bow as a proud former member of the Black Foxes, my heart is filled with overwhelming gratitude, reflection, and love.

I joined The Black Fox Dance Line in 2020 as a freshman, right in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Though the world was uncertain, one thing was clear , I had found my place among greatness. Navigating through those early days, masked up and distanced, I learned quickly that being a Black Fox wasn’t just about dancing , it was about discipline, resilience, and rising above the challenges with grace.

This team has molded me into a lady who is not only polished and poised, but resilient — someone who knows the meaning of dedication and is unafraid of hard work. That became especially true in 2022, when I faced one of my biggest obstacles , tearing my Achilles just when the new season was approaching. Being sidelined for a year wasn’t easy, but it was in that stillness that I found even greater strength. I fought my way back, and despite the setback, I proudly returned . TAILing my story , not once but twice .

To the Marching Storm, the Black Foxes, and everyone who walked this journey with me thank you. I leave this team with my head high, my heart full, and my legacy intact.

Dear Prairie View A&M University,

As I prepare to turn the page on this chapter of my life, my heart is full of gratitude, love, and reflection. It’s hard to put into words just how much these past years at The Hill have meant to me.

When I first arrived at Prairie View, I didn’t fully know what to expect but what I found here was more than an education. I found a second home. I found friendships that feel like family, , a community that challenged me, lifted me, and helped me grow into the person I am today.
PVAMU has given me experiences I never imagined. I’ve learned the value of perseverance, the beauty of community, and the power of believing in myself. Every class, event, and memory has left a mark on me, and I wouldn’t trade a single moment of it.

As I close this chapter and step into the next, I want to say thank you for embracing me, for challenging me, for loving me. Prairie View is more than a university it’s a legacy, and I am honored to be a part of it.

On August 9th of 2025 , I will be graduating from the illustrious Prairie View A&M University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Health.🎓💜 #pvamu # taken in Prairie View A&M University by @ariel.lashonn
