been very quiet on here recently because it feels so frivolous to post abt tattoos when the world continues to reveal itself in horrendous ways. US imperialism and colonialism is a machine that continues to destroy the world and our collective future through their endless war and pursuit of power, money, and control. the same symptoms of this machine are felt globally and more severely within black and brown communities worldwide. our oppression is deeply connected. from the people being detained domestically by the terrorist organization that is ICE to the continued annexation of the West Bank and the destruction of Gaza by the IOF. from the stripping of driving and identification rights of trans individuals in Kansas to the bombing of Iran just last night, the systems that perpetuate this violence are the same.

imperialism and colonialism are the tools to support capitalism. patriarchy and racism are tools to support capitalism.

the very systems that you complain oppress you, a child of the empirical center: racism, misogyny, poverty, etc. are in fact the same systems that continue to justify genocide, forever wars, apartheid abroad. we are complicit, we are culpable and the sooner we reckon with this, the sooner we can move forward towards a better world, a more just world.

to eliminate the injustice you feel, we need to face the injustice we enact globally or else we will continue to be stuck in a cycle of treating the symptom whilst ignoring the rotten roots.

see you next time from my soap box. love you. taken in Fort Collins, Colorado by @ariel.tats
