The sheepies, the seagulls, the cows, kilts, cabers, cobblestones, views, & the rainy, plaid vibes ✨

My mom went to Scotland on a missions trip when we were little and brought back all kinds of pictures, stories, and souvenirs, therefore it’s been on the list. My homebody self wouldn’t be traveling if my sister hadn’t moved to another country, but these trips have been so special - especially making it a whole family gig 🤎

Cameras for the girls, coffee shops along the lochs, long walks looking for sights and snacks, celebrating my mom & Michael’s birthdays, a black sand beach, mountains, trails, and ice cream for good measure.

Now, we (by “we” I mean my youngest) did lose a tooth on the plane, then proceeded to …lose said tooth on said plane 😅 but, otherwise, pretty smooth sailing.

Seven 🤍

In true second child fashion, it’s a few days late, but happy birthday to this girl. She is spunk, spice, and sass all rolled into one who keeps me on my toes and Lana at the end of her rope 😅

She’ll do just about anything to hold a baby, pet an animal, or wrestle on the bed and will continue to ask her question until the answer is yes.

She loves to make others laugh.
She sees when people are hurting.
She creates a memory everywhere we go.

She’s always up for running in the rain, singing at the top of her lungs, or snuggling on the couch for a movie.

She is persistent and she is brave…sweet, energetic, honest, joyful, and now she’s 7 ✨

Ten 🤍

Somehow a whole decade of learning to be a mom with this one and she makes it easy.

She’s kind, determined, tenderhearted, sweet, creative, insightful…she includes others, asks deep questions, can cite animal facts for days, loves trying new activities, and has an eye for art.

She loves a Friday night movie night, charcuterie in a muffin tin, chasing cats at the farm, reading in a comfy chair, fishing on a dock, and lately, belting out the High School Musical soundtrack in the car 🎶

She’s a big fan of camp, cookies, creating, and chatting on a walk. She’s ready for 10✨

Just for kicks ☁️

I’ve worked with @jakeo.photo for a while and signed up for his aerial photography workshop thinking it’d be a cool activity…only momentarily forgetting I don’t love heights 🫠

After the class, everyone got to go up and experience Columbus from the sky - seeing things from that top down view, zooming in on details, and grasping the bigger picture of my day-to-day for a second was a good pause.

My little vcr style camera even made the trip 👏🏼
