As I reflect over my journey as the 98th Miss Alcorn State University, it is very difficult to describe the gamut of emotions that I have experienced. Anxious, challenged, disappointed, frustrated, overjoyed, and grateful are just a few words that come to mind. My reign has been an unforgettable year filled with numerous challenges as I tried to navigate obstacles and landmines. However, I am filled with so much gratitude for the love and support that the student body has shown. It has been an absolute pleasure and honor to be seen, to be acknowledged, and to be valued by you!! Thank you for allowing me to serve! 👑

When I started this journey, it was with the premise that “Everyone Matters”. To this end, I have worked relentlessly to demonstrate to every Brave that you matter. From our illustrious band, our world class instructors, our top-knotched chefs, our dedicated athletes, our academic scholars, our highly trained security staff, and our amazing maintenance crew, please remember YOU MATTER!! It is collectively that we embody the strength and rich history that will continue to propel Alcorn as a great institution of higher learning. ✨✨

I pray that my legacy of standing resolute in the face of opposition, leading with integrity, and refusing to lose my voice will inspire others to do the same. Know that you do not need anyone’s permission to be great, so go chase your dreams.

Thank you to the team of prayer warriors who continuously prayed for me and stood in the gap for me. Thank you for affirming me and reminding me daily that God is my provider and protector. So to you, I say Salute. Most of all, thank you God for your guidance and your assurance that I Am More Than Brave Enough!!

As my reign as the 98th Miss Alcorn State University comes to an end, I will forever treasure the friendships formed, the memories forged, and the lessons taught. Thank you and may God richly and abundantly bless each of you. 💜💛 #hbcu #hbcugrad #missalcorn #explore #explorepage #blackgirlmagic by @arielsknott

The 98th Miss Alcorn State supported the Women’s Softball Team yesterday for their game against Southern University. Fresh fruit and Gatorade was also given to keep them fueled. 💪🍇🍊 #Teamwork #AlcornState #WomensSoftball #Grateful #The98th #missalcornstateuniversity #queen #abraveneworld by @arielsknott

What a beautiful evening with Alcorn State University’s Queen, her family and peers! I spoke with her amazing parents before the event and they said that their daughter insisted that I be the speaker and to get me there by any means necessary so they looked forward to hearing me!I thought.. oh boy… no pressure right 😰😳! Lol. Nevertheless, the Lord did exactly what He planned to do and it was glorious! Thank you so much Miss. Alcorn State @arielsknott! You are such a beauty inside and out. ❤️🩷❤️ by @arielsknott
