Hae Hawaiʻi🔥

See you guys today😍

KA HAE HAWAIʻI 2.0

Flying since the time of Kamehameha I, Ka Hae Hawaiʻi has carried the presence of our people through generations. Its eight stripes represent the eight major islands of Hawaiʻi, while its history speaks to the diplomacy, strength, and independence of the Hawaiian Kingdom.

On July 31, 1843, Ka Hae Hawaiʻi was raised once again at the restoration of Hawaiian sovereignty… a day remembered as Lā Hoʻihoʻi Ea.

Our hae is more than a symbol. It carries the mana of our kūpuna, the identity of our lāhui, and the enduring reminder that ea, the life and sovereignty of Hawaiʻi, lives through its people.

Meet Moeariʻi, creator and owner of @ariihawaii 💫

Inspired by moʻolelo Hawaiʻi and her upbringing in Lanihau, Kailua-Kona, Moeariʻi creates handcrafted, engraved jewelry rooted in story and place. Each piece becomes an extension of these stories, with motifs and design elements that reflect the life of these places.

Shaped by a lifetime surrounded by hula, lei making, and lawaiʻa. More than representations of what grows upon the ʻāina, her designs reflect the ways these plants are gathered and cared for.
