Books you couldn’t pay me to trend 🤍🏹☕️ by @ariisbooked_

“Never mix vodka with magic” 🍂🔮📕🌟 This was such a cute witchy romcom to get me into the fall vibes!

In my opinion, this was a fast-paced read without ever feeling like I was missing too much, which made it really so easy to fly through. The characters were fun and fit the lighthearted tone of the story, aka. they weren’t particularly deep, and I don’t think we got a ton of character development, but honestly… it’s a 300-page romcom, so I wasn’t expecting a huge character evolution in here 👀😂

The story itself was fun and had such a whimsical, fall vibe and the plot was entertaining without feeling too serious or difficult to digest. Very much “Sabrina the teenage witch” meets “Halloweentown” for all my 2000’s kids out there

Overall, this was just such an easy, cozy read that felt perfect for the fall season. Definitely a fun one to pick up when you’re looking for something light, witchy, and entertaining!

First time reading this series & here are some of my thoughts 🌹🧚‍♀️🌙🏹✨

I really enjoyed this book! It felt a little slow at first, but that’s pretty normal because I feel like there’s usually a lot of world-building involved at first in fantasy stories. I thought the world-building was really well done and easy to follow without feeling like I was completely lost.

It wasn’t until well past the halfway point that I really started getting invested in the story, but once I did, I was definitely HOOKED!! I have to say, I’m really curious about the other characters and their stories because I have a feeling everyone has their own motivations, including the MMC which is why I think he’s a little sus… 👀

As for the romance, I do think it could have used a little more development. For me, it felt like the foundation was mostly physical attraction, and I would’ve liked to see more of their relationship develop. BUT… I am 100% invested and ready for book two iykwim 😉😂

Overall, I really enjoyed it and I can definitely understand why these books are so hyped. I’m excited to continue the series, and I’m especially curious to see if the story goes where I think it’s going
