This past weekend I had the honor of attending the wedding of Chris Allison and Cameron Yates in Memphis. I cannot express how beautiful it was to witness my two good friends exchange their vows in front of their family and friends. I cherish everyone in this post and everyone who I didn’t get to post and tag bc there were so many. Friendship is the most important thing in my life and I am so grateful for all this. Here is my annual list of the Top 10 Movies of the Year (2025) that no one asked for.

10. Companion
An original, timely and hilariously gross horror movie.

9. The Ugly Stepsister
Underrated and strangely endearing despite all of the wtf moments.

8. Frankenstein
Top tier production all around.

7. Bring Her Back
This fucked me up.

6. Bugonia
Even tho this was a remake of a Korean film, it was exceptionally entertaining.

5. Wicked: For Good
A perfect ending to this amazing production.

4. Twinless
One of the saddest yet funniest movies I’ve seen in years.

3. Weapons
Original, creepy, and perfectly executed

2. One Battle After Another
An adrenaline rush of a movie with the perfect cast.

1. Sinners
A perfect, revolutionary movie from beginning to end that blends different genres in a way that has to be seen to be believed. by @ariktoday

This past weekend I had the privilege of traveling to a different city to see Beyoncé perform for the first time in my life. As if that wasn’t enough, I saw her for the 3rd and 4th time on the #COWBOYCARTERTOUR, after never seeing her more than once on tour. On top of that, I traveled with my best Ocky and met up with dozens of friends, old and new, from LA to Germany. I also was able to see the artist of my life up close for the first time.

I am truly grateful for every minute (even when I was struggling to get out of bed and walk around in 100 degree Vegas heat.) Beyoncé really brings so many people together, people I never would’ve met in other circumstances, people I love and appreciate for bringing me much-needed joy and friendship.

Thank you @beyonce. Thank you to @vitaminbey4 for securing that ticket. Thank you to @ocky_ for being by my side. Thank you to everyone for the memories I’ll never forget. Until next time… by @ariktoday

4 days later I have finally collected myself after witnessing one of the greatest concerts I have ever seen: the first show of the #COWBOYCARTERTOUR. You already know #Beyoncé is my everything, but to be able to share this experience with the friends I have made since the RENAISSANCE tour was truly unforgettable. I will cherish these memories forever. by @ariktoday

(I watched over 90 movies this year. I did not see everything, but I saw a lot.)

10. Deadpool and Wolverine / Can’t deny this was excellent
9. Civil War / Unexpectedly moving and painfully relevant
8. Monkey Man / Incredible action with a heart
7. Challengers / Sexiest movie of the year
6. Emilia Pérez / A raw, unique, unexpected musical
5. Inside Out 2 / Touchingly relatable, Pixar is back!
4. Alien: Romulus / I love all “Alien” movies
3. Wicked / Best movie musical in years
2. The Substance / Acting, directing, editing, all incredible
1. Longlegs / I can’t do it in 5. It takes a lot for a movie to scare me and this did the trick. Monroe and Cage are amazing. A modern masterpiece that haunts you for a bit afterwards. by @ariktoday

It took a lot of strength to make this video and post but here goes:

Yesterday, on his 14th birthday, I had to say goodbye to the best thing that has ever happened to me, Tokyo. I got Toky (with the help and kindness of Karlson and Xander) at a time when I was depressed, lost, and lonely. He changed my life and gave me purpose. He was the sweetest friend. He was anxious all the time like me. He was the best cuddle buddy. He was my road dog when we moved to LA. He was the reason I kept going when I didn’t want to anymore and the reason to get up every morning.

Thank you to everyone who met him, pet him, and gave him the love he deserved. He loved EVERYBODY. Thank you to everyone who understood that I had to go home early because he needed a walk. Thank you to everyone for the kind messages.

I’m going to miss coming home to that cute little face and those sweet wet kisses. I’m going to miss taking him outside when it’s 100 degrees or pouring rain. I really don’t know what I’m going to do without him. 💔
