Did you know the matcha bowl you hold can tell a story?

We are incredibly happy to introduce our collaboration with Ari Matalon, the ceramic artist behind ARIS.

Originally from Sweden, Ari moved to Portugal with her family in 2024. What began as curiosity soon became a passion. Inspired by Portuguese light, slower living and the beauty of everyday moments, she started creating handmade ceramic pieces designed to bring warmth, colour and joy into daily rituals.

Today, her work has found a home at Senzi.

From handcrafted matcha bowls to ceramic whisk holders and unique ritual pieces, each item is made by hand and carries its own character. No two pieces are exactly the same.

You can now discover a selection of Ari’s ceramics at Senzi or explore her full collection online.

Because sometimes the ritual starts long before the first sip. 🍵

I’m inviting you into my studio for “The Women Within”

A morning to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and make space for the different versions of the woman you’ve been.

Through reflection and working with clay, we’ll explore our own stories in a relaxed, intimate space filled with clay, wine, and meaningful conversations.

You’ll create your own ceramic piece, which I’ll carefully fire after the workshop. It will be ready for collection from my studio around 2–3 weeks later.

No experience needed. Just come as you are.

📍 My studio in Cascais
🗓️ 11 November 2026
🕚 11am–1pm
🎟️ €55, including clay, wine, and firing. (Ticket link in BIO)

A little space for yourself, to create, connect, and simply be. taken in Cascais by @arimatalon

CERAMIC CEREMONY ✨

Last night, I hosted my very first Ceramic Ceremony in my garden. surrounded by 15 of my closest friends. 🤍

And honestly, it was so much more than a ceramics workshop.

We journaled, slowed down, connected with our bodies, and then let the clay become a way of expressing what was happening inside.

No focus on perfect techniques. No pressure to create something “right.”

Just clay, creativity, connection, nature and a little bit of magic.

Watching everyone lose themselves in the process, create with their hands and leave with something deeply personal was such an emotional experience for me.

Maybe ceramics isn’t just about what we create.

Maybe it’s also about what we discover in ourselves while creating. ✨

Still not sure if this was manifestation… or just a 20-year commitment to a lie 😂

Today was one of those simple, perfect days! reading my Portuguese book, lunch with friends, my kids running barefoot into the sea, and golden hour over our little town.

It’s October, and somehow it still feels like summer.

I kept wondering if clay could be more than something we make with.

Could it be a way to slow down?
To get out of our heads?
To reconnect with ourselves through our hands?

So I created an evening around that feeling: journaling, guided meditation, clay and good company. taken in Cascais by @arimatalon
