Our move away from Chicago was a slow, intentional one. Spring of 2024, fresh off getting married, we decided that summer would be our last in the midwest - we wanted to move abroad. We told everyone, made our Chicago bucketlist and then did something I’ve genuinely never done before: stayed put. three straight months, no running ahead to the next thing, just one last iconic summer.

Then, like clockwork, by July 2025 we’d rented out our condo and moved away. In the fall, we flew back to Chicago for six weeks to wrap up loose ends and say our see ya laters.

This day documented by our dear friend @bennettbergeron (who also happened to be the reason we met + our wedding officiant) was one of our last in the city, and somehow one of my favorites. We romped around Logan Square, through some of the neighborhoods and spots that made up a decade of my life. @parsonschicken, where we had our first date. @gretelchicago, where we’d end up on the nights cooking just wasn’t happening lol

Ten years in a city I never expected to stay in. A bittersweet end of beginning.

Still pinching myself over here 🥹 Closing out 2025 in the top 3% of all @foratravel advisors feels surreal. It certainly wasn't a milestone I'd ever dreamed of hitting just 1.5 years into starting my business.

To say I'm incredibly proud of this milestone while pivoting into a new industry and entrepreneurship all at once would be an understatement. Growing a passion into something sustainable is rewarding, challenging, and motivating all at once.

I've been travel-obsessed for as long as I can remember, and getting to leverage my firsthand destination knowledge, curiosity for the world (and let's be honest, very opinionated recommendations and hot takes) to plan trips for others? Best decision I ever made.

The trips I love most are the ones where you come back getting exactly what you needed - whether it's a new perspective, rest away from the kiddos or trips that finally made it out of the group chat.

Thank you for trusting me with your travels (both big and small), your wildest ideas, your wedding group blocks and honeymoons, your anniversary surprises, and your "we need to get away ASAP" moments. And don't even get me started on how fun it's been to receive your highest compliments through referrals to your networks.
