Sometimes a painting simply needs time. Not more paint, but more attention.

I wasn’t sure this would work…
So I kept it small.

I just wanted to explore colour and light.
And it slowly started to glow.

Plein air at sunset. 15 minutes before the light was gone.
Acrylic is drying fast, clouds are changing even faster.
Winter in the Outback is the only time you can paint outside like this.

Still fighting with clouds, but getting there.

Weather: Outback winter perfection.
