I come from a humble family.

There was a time when our home had nothing more than an earthen floor and bamboo walls. Back then, even owning a new bicycle was a dream that felt incredibly special to my parents.

I grew up learning that life is not defined by where we begin, but by how far we are willing to go.

I was never taught to give up when things did not go my way. I was taught that failure is simply part of the journey, a chapter we must pass through, not a place where we are meant to stay.

This moment did not happen overnight.

It was built slowly, through years of quiet lessons, unexpected turns, moments of doubt, and challenges that shaped me in ways I could not always see at the time.

With time, I learned to embrace those moments rather than resent them.

They became part of the journey. They taught me patience, resilience, and gratitude. And perhaps that is why every achievement feels a little more meaningful — because I remember where it all began.

Today, when I look back, I realise that this is not really a story about me.

It is a story about two people who once lived simply, who once dreamed of owning something as modest as a new bicycle, and who somehow gave their children the courage to dream far beyond what they themselves had ever imagined.
