In life, some people want certain things or environments, some just want to keep leveling up, and some don’t feel the need for much at all, and that’s all okay. But when what we want doesn’t show up right away, it’s easy to forget how much we’ve already overcome and start taking things for granted. Sometimes we just need to pause, look back, and appreciate how far we’ve come and what we already have. That’s when I feel like balance comes back.

Sometimes healing doesn’t look like “healing” if you expect the wound to be fully closed. It can look complicated.

I’m not a therapist, but from my experience, I’ve realized where my triggers come from, where they stem from. Those “aha” moments have helped me give myself the love and grace I was seeking from others. but..

I feel great, life goes on, and then I get triggered again. But when that happens, what changes when you’re working on healing is asking, “How am I going to get through this this time?” instead of thinking, “I thought I was healed.”

I call it a “relationship with myself.”

When you’ve been hurt, there are things you start seeking, love, compassion, reassurance, safety, peace, clarity, understanding.. Whatever it is, you already have it within yourself, and you can always give yourself what you need.

So now, when I get triggered again, I stay curious“What do I need right now?”

July 23rd Arigato eveyone who called or text me to wish me a happy birthday❣️✨Living abroad, I’ve spent years chasing my dreams. While that has allowed me to focus deeply on myself, it has also meant living in survival mode.
Coming home and spending time with my family and friends has reminded me to slow down, be present, and truly appreciate each moment.
As I celebrate another birthday, I'm going to live my life as someone who can genuinely help and uplift others, like the sun that sunflowers turn toward🌻

Of course the food is amazing everywhere, especially here in Kyushu⛰️ but enjoying it with people I love is just priceless, that’s true abundance to me especially since I’m always away from them :) 🫶
