We are delighted to share some exciting news from Milan, just as the city heads into Fashion Week. From September 16th to the 24th, Vezené will be at @the_wilde_milan, the private members’ club in the heart of Milan, for a celebration of Greek food and culture.

Bringing Vezené to Milan feels rather special. Our journey to Milan follows our founder’s routes of the Ionian Sea, where Greece and Italy have exchanged ingredients, ideas and traditions for centuries.

Our menu will travel through that world, from raw dishes such as Barbouni Savoro, inspired by his home island of Meganisi, to Dolma and Pastitsio Tar-Tar, line-caught fish with manestra, wood-roasted lamb from the mainland and our classic Greek chicken with oregano.

Although access is available only to club members, we have reserved room for members of the Vezene community.

On September 12, Manari hosts @nick_bramham from @qualitywinesfarringdon, London for a proper evening around the fire, with generous cooking, good wine, full tables, and the kind of atmosphere that tends to take on a life of its own.

Expect dishes for sharing, glasses for refilling, and flavours that move between the Mediterranean coastlines that inspire Nick’s cooking - Marseille, Athens, Seville, Palermo - before landing, very happily, at Manári.

Legend has it that the Cyclades are marbles Zeus tossed into the sea. Shaped by the sea, these islands, with their dramatic terrain and cascades of whitewashed houses descending toward crystal-clear waters, form a world of their own. Each of the roughly two hundred islands that make up this archipelago has its own personality and mythology.

In Mykonos, at Athinagoras Kostakos’s NŌEMA, the summer heat calls for lighter meals, and this salad of young zucchini is the perfect response. In Santorini, at Ari Vezené’s VEZENÉ SANTORINI, a fisherman arrives with fresh red shrimp straight off the boat. The chef turns them into a simple, exceptional crudo. In Naxos, the Babounis family has been producing goat and sheep cheeses for seventy years.

Summer, winter, rain against the windows or the AC showing absolutely no mercy at 16 degrees, this orfani makaronada at @manaritaverna remains wonderfully indifferent to the season.

The pasta is cooked slowly in a deep, concentrated broth of bones and meat, absorbing every last bit of it before the cheese enters the affair and ruins whatever noble intentions you may have had about restraint. It is simple in the most unforgiving sense of the word, because simplicity leaves nowhere to hide. @arivezene knows that rather well.

And when a plate this modest can give this much pleasure, one begins to suspect that excess has been terribly misunderstood. by @arivezene

On Saturday, July 25, Birdman welcomes Takao Inazawa, from Cuisine,Paris for a one-night guest shift, with a special à la carte izakaya-style menu🔥

Behind the bar, enjoy a cocktail menu created exclusively for the collaboration with the support of @votanikon_gin, @ottos_athens_vermouth, @skinos_mastiha_spirit and Concepts S.A., while @beastialfloor sets the tone on the decks throughout the evening.

Reservations are highly recommended. Walk-ins always welcome 🕺🏻

On Saturday, June 27th, @arivezene welcomes @elliothashtroudi, chef/owner of London’s beloved @camille_se1.

Together, we have crafted a menu that pays homage to our shared respect for whole-animal butchery, open fire cooking, and farmers we know by their first names.

The menu will be served à la carte with wines by @thymiopoulos.vineyards. Doors open for dinner at 6:00pm. Stop and say hello…

Back at @manaritaverna, one of my very favourite places to eat in Athens, where even the “I’m full” part of dinner comes with excellent reasons to change your mind. I hope @arivezene keeps making restaurants for many years to come, because Athens is a better, happier and far more delicious city with places like this in it.
