Another grueling month of intense competition, deep soul-searching, and outworking the absolute fierce rivalry in the office. I’d like to thank my wife, my coffee maker, and the guy in the mirror who refuses to take a sick day. Extremely proud and humbled to announce I’ve officially secured Employee of the Month for the 78th consecutive time. Let’s keep this momentum going! #EmployeeOfTheMonth #CEOlife #HardWorkPaysOff #SmallBusinessLife #WorkplaceChampion by @arkdiscs

Long before streaming and algorithms, night owls across North America tuned their radios to 1090 AM (KAAY Little Rock) to hear Beaker Street—the first regular underground rock show on commercial AM radio in the central US. Hosted by Clyde Clifford, the show broke all the rules: 🎶 Played full 10-minute album cuts instead of Top 40 singles 🎙️ Replaced loud DJ hype with a slow, hypnotic delivery 🌌 Played eerie, ambient background sounds to mask studio fan noise Thanks to KAAY’s massive 50,000-watt transmitter, the signal bounced off the night sky, reaching listeners from Canada to Cuba by @arkdiscs

Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the newly independent Lithuania reestablished its Olympic basketball team for the 1992 Barcelona Summer Games. However, the national basketball federation had virtually no funding. Facing severe financial hardship, the team struggled to afford equipment, uniforms, and travel expenses to Spain. Enter designer Greg Speirs and the rock band Grateful Dead. Speirs wanted to support the team and came up with the iconic “Slam Dunking Skeleton” artwork (officially titled Birth of a Liquid Nation), rendered in the red, yellow, and green colors of the Lithuanian flag and printed on a vibrant tie-dye shirt. The imagery of a skeleton rising from the dead to slam-dunk a basketball served as a powerful metaphor for Lithuania rising out of the ashes of Soviet rule. The Grateful Dead—known for their counterculture ties and iconic tie-dye aesthetic—stepped in to sponsor the team financially, covering their expenses and funding their trip to the Barcelona Olympics. The team went on to win the bronze medal in Barcelona, famously wearing tie-dye warm-up shirts designed by Sports Specialties featuring the same skull logo during the medal ceremony. A portion of the proceeds from the t-shirt sales went directly to support the Lithuanian children’s fund and the team’s ongoing athletic programs. by @arkdiscs

Rules don’t apply when you have plate #99? 🚗💨 Spotted: Arkansas House District 99 Representative Lane Jean parked directly on a painted red curb / designated fire lane. Under Ark. Code Ann. § 27-51-1302, stopping, standing, or parking in an official no-stopping zone like a red fire lane is illegal for everyone else. Are lawmakers above the law, or is a red curb just a VIP parking spot in Arkansas? Drop your thoughts below. 👇 #ArkansasPolitics #Arkansas #Accountability #RulesForTheeButNotForMe by @arkdiscs

I found this beauty at the bins. Loro Piana in the wild! Knowledge is king. This one item will make my bills for the week, but it’s still got to get dry cleaned, listed, and sold by @arkdiscs
