This loop shows how I feel after practicing this beautiful unaccompanied work that @roiselsuarezmusic wrote for me. Everything connects in a way that I sometimes don’t know where is the beginning of the phrase or the end. This piece is a 6 minutes journey full of surprises.

Let me know how you like it and if you would like to hear/ learn some more about it.

Mama Kalunga will be premiered on October in the Graduate Conference at Georgia State University.

It’s always a pleasure working with @arlet_tabares on new projects and sharing my musical perspective.

“Manos a la Trompa” is a Spanish-language podcast about the French horn that I truly believe is a wonderful resource for the horn community.

This summer was nothing like I expected it to be. There were no big plans, incredible trips, or grand adventures. And yet, somehow, it became one of the most meaningful summers I’ve had.

I worked with PIMF @pimfmusiccamp as an Associate Director, taught extensively, and learned so much along the way about education and Arts Administration. I also got to celebrate two of my best friends as they married, finally started Manos a la Trompa, a project I had been dreaming about for years and I picked up photography as a new hobby, something that has brought me so much joy and allowed me to see everyday moments a little differently.

Looking back, I realize that this summer wasn’t about doing something extraordinary. It was about finally doing so many of the little things I had been postponing for years. The projects I kept saying “one day” to. The ideas I kept putting off. The things that made me happy. And I’m really proud of that.

Now, a new school year begins. Hopefully my last one with any coursework, and a very different one as I navigate being away from Roy. ❤️

So here’s your reminder, and one I’m giving myself too: keep dreaming, do what brings you joy, start that project you’ve been waiting to start, learn something new and make time for the things that matter to you.

Back in May, I had the absolute honor of standing by Emily’s side as she married the love of her life. What a beautiful day filled with so much love, laughter, happy tears, and unforgettable memories.

When I met Emily I had just arrived to ATL, I was completely lost, in a new school, trying to figure out a new language, learning system and life in general. She was one of the kindest and most empathetic people during this difficult time of my life and I’ll be forever thankful for her friendship and support.

So grateful I got to be part of such a special chapter in your life, Emily. Here’s to a lifetime of happiness, love, and adventures for you and Jared! @emmy_a_cook @cared.jook by @arlet_tabares

Last night at the Kimmel Center was one to remember ✨📯
The Temple Horns had an amazing time bringing Copland’s Appalachian Spring to life, collaborating on beautiful choral works by American composers, and diving into Dvořák’s New World Symphony.

Grateful for the music, the teamwork, and a stage like that to share it all. @boyercollege taken in Kimmel Center by @arlet_tabares
