Wall of text incoming: After a very rough day 1. This was the only event on day 2 I cared about. Not for the sake of beating anyone. But just to say “I did it” regardless of the circumstances. I blew out two calluses on my right hand on car deadlift the day prior. And this event was a was just pure grit of pushing through and not quitting. I couldn’t grab anything properly. And my gauze/tape was useless after the duck walk so tore the rest of it off. It truly was a Me versus Me moment. And I can hold my head high knowing that even with all the shit I went through leading up to comp, a not so good water cut, things on day 1 not going even close to as planned. I left my blood, sweat, and flesh out there this last weekend. And that’s just gonna have to be good enough for me. Also, a huge shout out to @tofulifts @scar_mffm @caleb.desjardins @derek_waters1 and the other fellas in the 90kg division. Congrats on the PR’s and wins this weekend.
