Getting these pieces ready for everyday use! No more coffee or tea stains on these katakuchi! **don’t be a dummy like me. Always wear gloves while handling liquid quartz. Luckily, my hands are fine but the nano particles can cause irritation** #arlothrows #ceramiclove #ceramics #pottery #handmade #ceramicart #claywork #ceramicart #claylife #instapotter #ceramicsofinstagram #dinnerware #bowl #modernceramics #instapottery #handthrown #wabisabi #potterylife #contemporaryceramics #modernclay #pottery #potter #tableware by @arlothrows

Fun whisky tumblers. #arlothrows #pottery #ceramics #handmade by @arlothrows
Making some stained porcelain cups. Next time will definitely try creating a wet seal between the wheel and cup so I can trim with more authority without risking a tip over. Worked out anyway, in the end. Just joking guys. Mistakes happen, especially when using a new tool with which you’re not familiar. Better luck next time. #arlothrows #ohshit #pottery #ceramics #potteryvideos #ceramicsofinstagram #howto #diy by @arlothrows
Received an unexpected commission request from an old friend who I likely haven’t seen in 27 years for a pair of white bowls -one large, one small. I’m not at liberty to share the purpose of these bowls but am so honored to be a part of their personal journey. I really do hope the bowls serve them well. Clay: @seattlepotterysupply SeaMix Glaze: white underglaze with clear matte 🔺5/6 #arlothrows #ceramiclove #ceramics #pottery #handmade #ceramicart #claywork #ceramicart #claylife #instapotter #ceramicsofinstagram #dinnerware #bowl #modernceramics #instapottery #handthrown #wabisabi #potterylife #contemporaryceramics #modernclay #pottery #potter #tableware by @arlothrows
Made these pink babes a while back and never had the chance to post them. First time trying pink stained porcelain. Was loads of fun making these! Already claimed by the one and only @aiyah301 Clay - Stained Porcelain Glaze - Satin White / hand painted underglaze 🔺5 #arlothrows #ceramiclove #ceramics #pottery #handmade #ceramicart #claywork #ceramicart #claylife #instapotter #ceramicsofinstagram #dinnerware #bowl #modernceramics #instapottery #handthrown #wabisabi #potterylife #contemporaryceramics #modernclay #pottery #potter #tableware by @arlothrows
Marathon curing with @liquid_quartz_sealer. My designs generally leave the exterior of my pots “raw”. Even fully vitrified clay has a minuscule percentage of absorption. This process gets rid of that which helps keep my pots from any chance of coffee/matcha stains. #arlothrows #ceramiclove #ceramics #pottery #handmade #ceramicart #claywork #ceramicart #claylife #instapotter #ceramicsofinstagram #dinnerware #bowl #modernceramics #instapottery #handthrown #wabisabi #potterylife #contemporaryceramics #modernclay #pottery #potter #tableware by @arlothrows
Late to post but made a set of bowls for a friend’s boyfriend’s birthday surprise ☺️. These are the first pieces I fired completely on my own so I’ll always hold them dear and hope they’re serving their owner. Happy Friday. It’s been a while since I’ve had time to pot. Wanted to share a peek into a special commission from an old friend. Textured bowls in @seattlepotterysupply ‘s SeaMix. Current state: green Have a good weekend! #arlothrows #ceramiclove #ceramics #pottery #handmade #ceramicart #claywork #ceramicart #claylife #instapotter #ceramicsofinstagram #dinnerware #bowl #modernceramics #instapottery #handthrown #wabisabi #potterylife #contemporaryceramics #modernclay #pottery #potter #tableware by @arlothrows
Katakuchi bowls! Threw these back in the summer of 2023 as some of my first pieces after a year hiatus (twin parenting). I finally got them fired and glazed months later. Cone 5 has opened up a whole new world that I’m eager to explore. Clay: @lagunaclay Moroccan sand Glaze: matte yellow 🔺5 #arlothrows #ceramiclove #ceramics #pottery #handmade #ceramicart #claywork #ceramicart #claylife #instapotter #ceramicsofinstagram #dinnerware #bowl #modernceramics #instapottery #handthrown #wabisabi #potterylife #contemporaryceramics #modernclay #pottery #potter #tableware by @arlothrows
Another prototype continuing in a prior Mis Huus design. Painted the inside with pink porcelain slip during green phase and then underglaze design in bisque. Still a work in progress.
