now that’s some pretty labwork!✨🐾 my girl’s organs are functionally beautifully🥰 I work hard to manage her diet, supplements, mental enrichment, and physical activity, and it shows in the numbers. I gotta keep this little monkey happy and with me as long as I can🫶🏼 by @armanithewhippet

Okay frens buckle up. Armani’s histopath came back with results I never saw coming. Melanoma. My stomach dropped. I couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t believe we were potentially going to endure the same pain we felt watching my sweet boy Kaizer go through with cancer. Luckily, this was caught VERY early and was fully excised, it had no time to grow deeper into the skin or spread through her lungs or lymph nodes. This is why I emphasize diagnostics and being proactive you guys. If I had not sent what appeared to just be an old lady mole off to the lab, this absolutely would have turned into full-blown melanoma and spread through her body like wild fire. I’m eternally grateful for our team at KVH for handling this with empathy and for Dr @scothron for being so knowledgeable & thorough with her exam today. We’re sending off a full blood panel as I usually do every 6 months, and performed full body x-rays, from the snooter to the tooter!! Her radiographs came back ✨beautiful✨. No metastasis, no growths, not even a sign of arthritis! Which is amazing at her age, breed, and activity level. I’m finally able to breathe now that I know my girl is going to be okay. I held off on posting because I was an absolute DISASTER after receiving those histopath results. I also didn’t want to alarm anyone until I had a better idea of what we were dealing with. I’m sure you all understand! So for now, we’ll check x-rays every 3-4 months versus every 6, just to be sure💕 labwork results will be back Friday, and sissy will keep her staples in for at least 2 weeks and I’ll monitor closely for any changes🐾 she’s getting so many extra treats today💕 taken in Kleinpeter Veterinary Hospital by @armanithewhippet

spoke too soon. she had her staples taken out yesterday and it appeared to have healed really well!..SIKE it busted open😩 re-stapled and crossing our paws it will stay shut! she can’t let the monkeys out of her head!🙈 looks like this lady is gonna be a Frankenwhippet at the beach 🏖️ taken in Kleinpeter Veterinary Hospital by @armanithewhippet

absolutely FUMING after mom had the AUDACITY to give me a bath in our hospital treatment tub. BOY DOGS were GAWKING at me in my most vulnerable state! NAKEY. NO COLLAR. and SHIVERING (even tho yall know damn well I let the water get warm). This is a HEINOUS crime and she should pay for her transgressions! TWO consecutive life sentences! by @armanithewhippet
