Pascagoula, I'm Roger, the guy behind Urso Jiu Jitsu. 🐻

I've been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since 2011, and I'm a black belt. By day I'm a full-time firefighter right here in Pascagoula, and I serve in the Army National Guard.

Why Pascagoula? Because I work here and I serve this community, and our neighbors deserve a mat that's close by

Jiu Jitsu gave me discipline, confidence, and a family off the mat. That's what Urso is built for. Kids, adults, total beginners, first responders and military. Leave your ego at the door. We'll take care of the rest.

We're opening at 1711 Market St. Suite A. Join the interest list and you'll hear the opening date first, plus founding member rates:

Field footage. The subject is being strangled. The subject is throwing a shaka. Researchers remain baffled.

Jiu jitsu is just hugging with intent. 🤙

Tag the training partner who hugs a little too hard.

Fit: The Good Rash Guard from the Western line.

Yesterday marked one full year being married the absolute love of my life.
@lauren.nicole125 I still love you more deeply than any words can say, more enduring than time can last, more widely than any distance can stretch- past the edges of the stars, into the silence where galaxies are born.

Your training log shouldn't lie to you.

The Jiu Jitsu Bum Journal is live: 101 pages built for anyone who rolls, gets smashed, and shows up again anyway. Track your subs, your escapes, the move that keeps getting you, and how many times you said "good roll" and didn't mean it.

Goals tracker. Belt progress. Comp prep. Injury log. A footer joke on every training page because if it's not a little funny, are you even training.

Instant digital download. Link in bio.

Tap in. Log it. Bum it out.

This is my friend, Homare san. He and I connected through his really cool gis made in Japan. We met at Masters Worlds last year, connected again while @lauren.nicole125 and I were on honeymoon in Japan, and was able to hang out again at Masters Worlds this year. Big things are coming for both of us.
