Just finished listening to @lucyfoleyauthor’s #MurderAtTheGrandAlpineHotel. I loved it! I have to admit I am much more a Poirot lover and possibly haven’t read any Miss Marple books. 🤫 (I have watched and enjoyed some of the wonderful UK TV productions.) But after listening to this book, I am very likely to seek out some of Agatha Christie’s novels. I’ve got at least one waiting in my prodigious TBR pile. I loved how Lucy Foley made this book feel of the time (1950) with its setting and characterization, but also made it feel of our time too. The audiobook was beautifully performed by a wonderful cast. I heartily recommend the book either in its audio or physical form. Well done, Lucy Foley! Can’t wait to find out where you are going next! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 💫! by @armorcats

Thank you to @bertsbooks for this beautifully presented copy of @janice.hallet’s latest amazing book, #TheSilentAppeal. I’m so happy to have this UK indie bookstore edition, with its gorgeous sprayed edges and signature from Janice! I so loved reading the US library edition a couple of weeks ago, but I knew I needed to have the beautiful UK edition to match with all of my other fabulous books by Janice! 💜 by @armorcats

Just finished listening to #TheLivingRealm by @jordan.tannahill and narrated gorgeously by @richardcarmitage. This slip of a book held so much love and beauty and hope. I loved it. Highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ by @armorcats

Finished @janice.hallett’s latest spectacular novel, #TheSilentAppeal, today. What an absolute joy it was, same as every single one of her books. Deliciously twisty, I could not have predicted where it was going to land. I was smiling by page 2 to be back in the land of The Fairway Players (AMDRAM, not golf). Kevin should never be allowed to send another email, but what fun would that be? These characters are so much fun to be around, even when some of them are (kind of) the worst. I almost fell off the bed when I got to Ocean of Lies 🤣 (IYKYK)! Mr Tanner is kind of a tease, isn’t he? Just a brilliantly fun book that was a pure delight! Thank you, Janice! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ by @armorcats

SQUEEEEE!!! Just picked up my copy of @janice.hallett’s newest book #TheSilentAppeal at the library! 🤫 No interruptions until I’m finished reading. All plans cancelled. I’ll be seeing Janice in York very soon and getting my for-keeps copy of the UK edition, but I could not resist reading it on my side of the pond first when the opportunity presented itself. Of course, I raved about your books to the librarian! @atriabooks @viperbooks @criminallygoodbooksyork 🕵🏻‍♀️🔎 by @armorcats

Check out this lovely interview with @sathnamsanghera and CNN’s @biannagolodryga discussing #TonightTheMusicSeemsSoLoud. Trust me, Sathnam, Bianna is far from the only American George Michael fan. We are legion! 💜 by @armorcats

Yippee! I just found out that @janice.hallett will be in York doing a talk with @criminallygoodbooksyork on 16 September for her new book #TheSilentAppeal from @viper.books! I am coming across the pond in September for a visit and had planned to go up to York on Friday the 18th, but I’ve just changed my train tickets to the 16th! I’m so excited!!! Can’t wait to meet you, Janice and can’t wait to see gorgeous, amazing York again! by @armorcats

#LibraryHaul!!! Just had a lovely visit to @Middletown_Public_Library_RI. They very kindly helped me get something printed out as my printer and Wi-Fi are refusing to talk to each other. Then I picked up the books I had on hold: #AnInconvenienceOfPenguins by @travel_journo, #BeginningMiddleEnd by @valeria_luiselli, and @ASociopathsGuideToASuccessfulMarriage by @mk_oliver_writer. They all sound great and delightful. Then I had a wonderful chat with the librarians sharing books we loved and I told them how brilliant the new @riley.sager book #TheUnknown is! I love my library! 💜 by @armorcats
