🏁 Full throttle at Donington Park 🏍️💨

The Army Road Racing Team hit the track for the No Limits Racing Bike Championships this weekend at Donington Park.

Not only did we have some REME riders but one of our own went to support as pit crew.

Congratulations to all the riders representing the British Army. What a performance! 🇬🇧💪

2026 ARMY MOTORCYCLE ROAD RACE CHAMPION!

A massive congratulations to Sam Foster, who has been crowned the 2026 Army Motorcycle Road Race Champion! 🥇

Sam has enjoyed a fantastic season aboard his Honda CBR1000RR, consistently delivering strong performances throughout the year.

He also came agonisingly close to securing the Inter-Service Championship, taking the title fight against RAF's Dean Turner right down to the final round!

An outstanding achievement and a thoroughly deserved Army Championship title!

Well done, Sam! A fantastic season and a brilliant achievement! 👏

🏍🏁BRITISH SUPER BIKES 🏍🏁

What a weekend at Donington Park as 148 joined BAMA, Army Engagement Ensemble , RLC and the Royal Engineers, representing the British Army and showcasing what life in the Army Reserves is all about.

From meeting race fans and giving an insight into the opportunities available in the Reserves, to getting hands-on with the one of the Army’s racing team bikes, it was a weekend packed with skills, teamwork and plenty of horsepower! 🔧

A brilliant weekend showcasing the people, skills and opportunities that make the Army Reserves what they are.

Different skills. Different challenges. One team. 🇬🇧

ANGLESEY – RACE REPORT 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Not quite the weekend I was hoping for, but plenty to take away from it.

Friday’s test day was a tough one. Only two sessions before the day was called off due to the weather, and with the wind absolutely hammering us, I had zero confidence on the bike. I felt rigid, uncomfortable and nowhere near where I wanted to be.

Saturday was a step in the right direction. Confidence started to come back, particularly on the left-handers, and I was finally starting to feel more comfortable tipping the bike in. But with the lack of track time on Friday, I was still searching for the pace.

Sunday was a different story. After a bit of tinkering with the bike Saturday night, things started to click and I managed to knock another 4 seconds off my PB! 🔥

A pretty satisfying way to finish the season.

And just like that… 2026 is done! 🏁

I’ll still be at Donington supporting the Army team, but I won’t be riding — I’ve got a rather important event the following week… my wedding!

Now it’s time to pack the bike and gear away, enjoy a bit of downtime and start figuring out what 2027 looks like…

And let’s just say…

there could be some BIG changes coming. 👀🔥

This photo probably sums up how I actually feel coming away from the weekend.

Happy.

I finally fixed my starts and, hey presto… I’m competitive.

Two 3rd places and my first podiums of the season. It felt bloody good to finally put it together and stand on that podium.

The weekend didn’t finish how I’d have liked, but that doesn’t take away from the positives.

Now it’s about getting back to full fitness, back on the bike and picking up where I left off.

Turns out a decent start helps 😂🏁

Knockhill - Race Report 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Heading into the weekend, I had zero expectations. Having never ridden Knockhill before, I really didn’t know what to expect from the circuit or how quickly I’d be able to get to grips with it.

Friday was all about learning the track and seeing how much progress I could make. I quickly realised just how technical Knockhill is, and at first, I wasn’t sure it was a circuit I was going to gel with. But I kept persevering! A small trip onto the grass definitely didn’t do much for my confidence, though… 😅

Saturday’s qualifying and race went pretty much as expected. I managed to knock a few seconds off my times, but the circuit was still catching me out and there was plenty more to learn.

Sunday brought a real mixture of emotions. At times I felt confident and continued to chip away at my lap times, but at others I found myself feeling unsure again. Despite the ups and downs, I was absolutely delighted with my final Interservices position, finishing in my highest position of the season so far! 🙌

It was definitely a weekend of highs and lows, and one I’ll take plenty away from and reflect on. Now, though, it’s time to look ahead to Anglesey, one of my favourite circuits! Preparation is already underway, and the goal is to keep knocking those seconds off, building confidence and progressing on the bike. 💪

As always, a huge thank you to everyone in the Army team for their advice and support throughout the weekend, and to my sponsors for continuing to support me in chasing my racing goals. 🙏🏍️

Next stop: Anglesey! 🔥
