IT IS SO disappointing that even with the MASSIVE rise in popularity of rare plants that this is still the standard when it comes to shipping. 2/3 plants I ordered from two different companies came snapped, mangled or rotten. What really rubs salt in the wound is the generic, careless response you get from the company when asking about it. I chose to order from @rareplantfairy because I saw a video of the owner where she literally stated that shipping issues were the reason she wanted her own company. When I asked about this, they said it was “normal shipping damage” and that it was “written in their policy” that they aren’t responsible. The response lacked any empathy or human decency whatsoever. I would understand if the rest of the box had any damage, but it’s obvious this is due to poor packing and employees that don’t care. There was so much packing material shoved in around the sides, I would expect this from a cheap Facebook seller. Not a company that’s been featured in the media and claims to hold themselves to incredibly high standards. What an incredible disappointment and slap in the face to every plant seller in this industry. To say this is “normal shipping damage” is LAUGHABLE. YOU CAN NOT CLAIM NORMAL SHIPPING DAMAGE WHEN THE ENTIRE BOX IS FLAWLESS AND THE PLANT IS FUCKED. @jocelynho313. Keep in mind I did straighten out the leaves as much as I could before I thought of taking the pictures. So you can imagine how they looked before. I don’t like making noise, but the apathetic and dismissive response really irks me. “I’ll eVeN atTaCh tHe PoLiCy fOr yOuR rEvIEw” STFU bro by @aroidsfl

Variegation can come and go with stress, light adjustments and even nutrient imbalances. Never lose hope if the newer leaf isn’t as variegated, just increase the light and 9/10 times the variegation will return #aroid #rareplants #plants #plantsmakemehappy #philodendron taken in Sunset Beach by @aroidsfl

If you’re acclimating imports these four products can make a huge difference in whether or not you’re successful and how much money you will lose. 🌱 Why do our plants thrive when others struggle?

Because success starts BELOW the soil.

💥 SuperCharge Super Grower fuels explosive root development and vigorous growth, giving plants the energy they need to push bigger leaves, stronger stems, and faster recovery. Even in healthy, established plants this is what I use for everything from houseplants to the garden. It helps produce bigger fruits and flowers.

🌊 Sea Kelp delivers natural growth hormones, micronutrients, and stress protection. It helps plants handle heat, transplant shock, drought, and everyday environmental stress while encouraging healthy root and shoot development.

🛡️ Biofungicide protects the root zone from harmful pathogens that can silently destroy plants from the inside out. Healthy roots mean healthier, faster-growing plants. Some plants are already diseased upon shipment and there’s no way around that. This product can help give it that extra push.

⚡ SuperThrive reduces transplant shock, supports root establishment, and helps plants bounce back from stress, pruning, shipping, and environmental changes.

The secret isn’t one miracle product—it’s creating a complete system:

✅ Strong roots
✅ Disease protection
✅ Stress resistance
✅ Consistent growth

Healthy roots create healthy plants. Everything above the soil starts below it.

Some new imports arrived so I figured I’d hand out some tips. At Florida Aroids we don’t gatekeep the import game. We don’t artificially inflate prices, and we believe that owning rare plants does make you part of some club. #Rareplants #rareplantsofinstagram #aroids #plants taken in New Port Richey, Florida by @aroidsfl
