A little glimpse into our homeschool days lately. 🤎

We’re slowly but surely finding our way back into regular lessons, and my heart is truly so joyful to be doing this again. If you’ve been around for a while, you’ll understand why these days mean so much to me. Jesus truly holds our homeschool days together!

We follow a loop schedule that has worked wonderfully for our family, giving us the flexibility to take each day as it comes. Not every day means heading outdoors, and that’s okay! Sometimes we stay in, enjoy our homeschool classroom, and make the most of the day right where we are.

This is what our days look like these days, simply doing the best we can, by God’s grace. 🤍

These days have been hard. I’m tired. Mentally, emotionally, and in ways I don’t always know how to put into words. I’m grieving, and some days simply feel heavier than others.

So this post is as much a reminder to myself as it is an encouragement to you.

I can’t do it all alone.

I was never meant to.

When I feel like I have nothing left to give, I can come to the One who does. His strength is enough for today, even when mine isn’t...His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

One of my very favorite parts of motherhood is reading to my children.📚

They love being read to, and I love that even after all these years, they still get excited when I pull out a stack of books and say, “it's read aloud time”!

And there’s just something extra special about reading together during this cozy autumn season. 🍂 Slow days, warm cups of something good, little ones curled up beside me, and beautiful stories filling our home.

Sweet bits of our first day of school 📚

Life has been very hard around here but I thought I’d share a few little pieces of what has been bringing me joy in the midst of it all, our home, our children, and the gift of learning alongside them.

We began another year of homeschool, and I truly don’t take it for granted. There is something so special about sitting beside my children, opening a book, learning something new together, and watching their little minds grow. Even in the trials, these ordinary moments have felt like such a gift.

We’re using @withoutdoorscurriculum again this year, and after two years of using it, I can honestly say it has been such a beautiful fit for our family. 🤍 You can save with GABBY10 if you’re interested!

We’re also so grateful to have been blessed with our new school table from @grainwoodfurniture this year. It has truly made such a difference in our schoolroom and in the way we gather together each day. I’m so thankful for the little ways our home continues to become a place where we can learn, grow, and make memories together.

I’m grateful to be doing this. Grateful for these children. Grateful for the little joys God continues to give us, even in difficult seasons.

Maybe the most eternal work you will ever do will look completely ordinary from the outside.

The meals you make.
The home you tend.
The children you teach.
The husband you love.
The prayers you whisper when no one is listening.
The character you model in the quiet.
The countless little acts of faithfulness that may never be applauded.

The world may tell you that staying home is small, that homemaking is insignificant, that motherhood is just a season to get through.

But what if heaven sees it differently?

What if the ordinary faithfulness you pour into your home today is shaping souls, building a legacy, and preparing hearts for eternity?

You may never know this side of heaven how far your obedience reaches.

So keep tending your home.
Keep loving your husband.
Keep discipling your children.
Keep choosing faithfulness when no one sees.

You never know how eternity may be changing because of your decision to be faithful to God in your home.

Your work is not hidden from Him. 🤍

The last two months have been some of the heaviest our family has walked through. Exhausting. Uncertain. Full of moments where we’ve wondered why things couldn’t just turn out differently.

And honestly, it can be hard to worship when life doesn’t look the way you prayed it would.

But in the middle of it all, I’ve chosen to worship, not because everything is okay, but because He is still God.

I want my children to see that worship isn’t only for the joyful seasons. It’s for the moments when our hearts are hurting, when we don’t understand, and when we’re still waiting.

And when they see mama cry while we worship, I want them to know those tears aren’t always sadness. Sometimes they’re simply the overflow of a heart overwhelmed by His amazing grace.

This is one of my favorite songs, and watching my children lift their voices even while they’ve felt the weight of these days...these moments have brought me more joy than I can put into words.

May they always remember that God is good. His mercy never ends. And He is worthy of our praise in every season. 🤍 by @arootedhaus

Our last week of our human body study. 🤍🫀🦴

It’s hard to believe we’re already at the end of this little season of learning together. We’ve spent these summer days discovering how wonderfully God made our bodies, enjoying good lessons, asking questions, and simply being together.

And now, Lord willing, we’re scheduled to begin official homeschool next week! 📚🌿

I’m trying to soak up this last week before we step into our new homeschool rhythm, because these simple days of learning alongside my children are such a gift.

One of my favorite things about this season is watching my 4 yr old begin to put the pieces together, learning to read little words, recognizing sounds, and even putting together small phrases. 🥹🤍

And honestly, the more we read aloud, the more I see those little connections happening. The stories, the sounds, the words he hears over and over… they’re all becoming familiar. And these read alouds? They are truly some of his absolute favorites! 📚✨

I love filling our days with beautiful books that make him want to listen, wonder, and come back for “just one more.”
