☀️🏏 THIS WEEK AT ARRETON 🏏☀️

The season is starting to slow down as we head towards the end of summer, but there’s still plenty of cricket to come at Arreton this week!

💙🩷 Monday
Our U16 Girls head to the John Black Ground for their final fixture of the season. Good luck girls!

🦅 Tuesday
The Eagles host Ryde for their last game of the season.
🏏Meanwhile, our Senior Midweek Friendly team head to the Wood to take on Northwood.

🦅 Wednesday
The Buzzards head to Westhill to face Shanklin & Godshill.

🏏 Saturday
Our Senior League XI host Freshwater for their final league game of the season. A great way to finish off what has been a fantastic season!

As we head towards the end of another busy summer, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has played for Arreton this season — across all our junior, girls, ladies and senior teams. 🏏

With over 100 games played this season, there have been plenty of runs, wickets, wins, losses, laughs and memories along the way!

Most importantly, it has been brilliant to see so many players enjoying their cricket, developing their skills and representing Arreton with such pride. 👏🏏

One club, one team, one fantastic cricket family. 💙🩷

Good luck to everyone playing this week — finish the season strong! 💪🏏

And that’s a wrap! 🏏🦅

Thanks to GESH for the final game of the season today… we won’t talk too much about the result 😅😂 It would appear Arreton decided the last game of the season was the perfect time to swing the bat in all the wrong ways and try to get a few extra runs that maybe weren't there! 🤦‍♀️🤣

Huge well done to the whole Arreton CC squad this season. It’s been an absolute blast, and we can’t wait to do it all again next season! 🙌🏏

And a massive thank you to Andy, our #1 Umpire this season, for giving up most of his Saturdays throughout the summer ☀️👏 We genuinely couldn’t have done it without you!

What a season 💙🏏 by @arretoncc

A whole week since our Summer Fair! 🥹☀️

It honestly doesn’t feel like a week ago! What an incredible day it was, and we just wanted to take a moment to say a massive thank you to everyone who came along and supported our little club. 🏏💙

To everyone who visited, volunteered, donated prizes, sponsored us, had a stall, entertained us, helped behind the scenes or simply spent the day with us — thank you! 🙌

Because of everyone’s support, we raised over £2,000 for Arreton Cricket Club! 🤩🎉

That money will go straight back into our club and our players, helping us continue to grow and provide opportunities for our juniors, ladies and seniors.

We really do have the most amazing community around our club, and we’re so grateful for every single one of you. ❤️

Thank you for helping make it such a brilliant day! 🏏💙

Next stop… Arreton Cricket Club Fair at Goddards Brewery! 💜🍪

And for this one, there’s a change of scenery — you’ll find us inside Arreton Cricket Club’s marquee, which means the increasingly well-travelled Crumb Pact gazebo is getting a very well-earned (if brief) rest!

We’ll be bringing along a selection of our signature chunky cookies, all made slowly, in small batches, right here on the Isle of Wight.

Every element of our cookies is made in-house, from the curds and meringues to the caramels and toppings, with no artificial additives. We use carefully chosen ingredients, Fairtrade and organic wherever possible, because we believe treating yourself can still mean caring about what goes into your food.

Indulgent? Absolutely. Full of unnecessary stuff? Absolutely not. 💜🍪

Whether you’ve become a Crumb Pact regular over the summer or you’re discovering us for the first time, come and say hello and choose yourself something delicious. 💜 by @arretoncc

🏏 THAT’S A WRAP ON THE Isle of Wight Cricket LEAGUE SEASON! 🏏

Our final league game of the season was sadly rained off today 🌧️ but we’ve still got a couple of friendlies to keep the squad going until the indoor season begins!

And based on the current results table… IT LOOKS LIKE WE’VE FINISHED 2ND IN DIVISION 2! 🥈🎉

What an achievement! After finishing 6th last season, the improvement across the whole squad has been incredible to watch. We couldn’t be prouder of every single player. 💙🦅

This season has seen:
🏏 Maiden centuries and half-centuries
🎯 Some fantastic wicket hauls
👏 Brilliant individual performances
💪 Huge improvements across the whole squad
🔥 And some seriously exciting cricket!

And the stats really do speak for themselves…

In the Division 2 Top 10

⭐ 4 of our squad are top run scorers
🎯 3 players are top bowlers
👏 2 players are top fielders

That is an incredible achievement for the club and a real reflection of the hard work, commitment and team spirit shown throughout the season.

A HUGE well done and thank you to everyone who represented Arreton Cricket Club this season. We are so proud to have every single one of you at the club and we can’t wait to see what next season brings! 🏏❤️💙

A massive thank you also to Captain Josh White for all his efforts throughout the season — and to all our scorers, umpires and Tina for keeping everyone fed with the teas! 🙌

Here’s to an amazing season and hopefully an even better one next year! 🥂🏏

ARRETON CC — WHAT A SQUAD! ❤️💙
