Thank you God. I did it in four.

Throughout every obstacle, problem, heartbreak, and every bump in the road, I did it. Through the strength of God, He gave me the perseverance to keep going even when I couldn’t anymore. The prayers that my family has covered over me are undeniably the reason why I am here today, not just graduating, but doing it with honor while creating and leaving a legacy.

Thank you to my family, my mom, dad, and stepdad for supporting me throughout these last four years. I never thought I would lose my best friend 5 months before graduation and throughout my process of applying to law school. Since I was 17, I have been right beside my Dad throughout his journey with cancer. Even when I questioned living thousands of miles away to chase my dreams, he is the one that pushed me to go and chase my future. This degree was for you Dad. Words can’t express how much I wish you were here.

Thank you to Hampton, I would not be the person I am today without this school. Going to one of the top historically black universities is one of the biggest accomplishments I could have. To all my professors and administrators, thank you for all the time and support you have provided to me during my tenure.

I don’t need to list all of the accomplishments I have done while at Hampton, the resume speaks for itself.
