I have to first say, I had no idea all of this was going to happen for the Bell I created for Kensington! I’ve always wanted to do a ribbon cutting and finally got the chance to. Those little scissors were so cute! 😍 I am truly grateful to @nadia_ahmed_malik, @muralarts and @councilmemberquetcy for this incredible opportunity to use my bell to expose some of the light and love that truly exists in Kensington! Thank you to @philadelphia250 and Heart of Kensington Creates for giving so many artists the chance to help beautify our city!! Congratulations to all of the artists called who have new projects coming to the city! Kensington blooms in so many ways and I’m truly grateful to help bring awareness to that fact! Thank you God! Let’s keep doing the work!!🎨🌺🥰

My summer has been swarmed with beautiful experiences but I have to highlight my first experience teaching at @muralarts. My kids had the opportunity to create a mural installation for City Hall to bring awareness to the Free Library and I can’t be more proud of them!! Lord knows I truly miss them already!! 😩 But I’m so thrilled to meet my new kids this school year! 🥰 Thank you to @creativephl for helping to make this experience be visible at City Hall for all of our kids. @muralarts works wonders for our students and for our community daily! I’m so grateful and excited to be a part of the team! Thank you God for all of the new experiences and new opportunities en route. Let’s keep creating! 🎨✨🥰

TRUE STORY: When you finally get your “yes” always make sure you’re ready but also always be prepared to have to fight til the very end to make your dream come into fruition! I can’t think of a moment I was not tested during this entire process literally from start to finish! I was up at 2 a.m. ready to start the first day of the festival but some things you cannot be prepared for!! ⚠️

From my U-Haul location being robbed, which caused no dollies being provided for me to transport everything to the festival alone, to the back of my activation being damaged, what did I do❓ I put on my gorgeous yellow two piece set, got to loading the U-haul and when I got to the festival I got my drill 🧰 and my screws 🔩 and rebuilt the back of my activation in the scorching heat last Saturday‼️

I literally fought to bring this activation to the community and my God was it worth every bit of it! As soon as I rebuilt the back, I revealed my activation and got swarmed with so much love from the community instantly! There were so many smiles which was the goal! What I wanted this activation to be, I experienced in seconds!! Thank you to whoever saw me and offered help and assistance along the way!! All of you are pure angels!!! After this experience, I’ve truly fell more in love with myself! I’m more unstoppable, grounded, clever, balanced, hopeful, and resilient than I’ve experienced! Who you are and how bad you want your dream will be tested❗️“Surviving” saved the day and blessed me with the opportunity to “live” amongst the community!! Creating is how I live! Figure out what that is for you and never let up!!! Never! Light & certainly love! 🌺✨🫶🏽

To every soul that stopped by my activation, I truly can’t thank you all enough!!! Thank you to everyone who engaged with my creation, thank you to all of the parents who allowed their children to create flowers and thank you to all of the adults who took the time out to create flowers as well!! This could not be a success without all of you!! I created this just for you all and I’m beyond grateful for all of the love, kind words, and hugs that I’ve received this past weekend!! I get asked all the time, why am I so adamant about sharing my light and love in the community? This is truly part of my why!! Thank you forever to @manayunkdotcom for being my first “Yes”!! 🌺✨🫶🏽

This past weekend I had the incredible pleasure of being a creative at the Manayunk Arts Festival! Having a day of gardening and coming back to enjoy a night of live music at @pentridgestation was truly everything!! Please come and witness the incredible atmosphere here and/or donate and support the great experiences happening at @pentridgestation! This spot is beautifully owned by two incredible souls and the space truly shows that all on its own! 🥰 Oh and when you do come, don’t forget I repainted all of those lovely golden yellow tables and benches! 😉😎 Can’t wait to come back!!! 🌱✨🎨

This past weekend and this week has been beautifully filled with gardening for me! 🌿 I am beyond grateful for all of the incredible organizations, that I’ve assisted, for welcoming me and for doing magical and monumental work to help beautify, educate and connect our community. There’s a lot of beautiful things happening in Philly by so many beautiful souls and it has been a pleasure meeting some of them. My heart is more than full and loved!
