In Giacometti’s perspective, ancient Egyptian art represented a fundamental reference for him, especially for its ability to synthesize the human form into essential structures charged with spiritual intensity. Giacometti in the Temple of Dendur The Temple of Dendur, completed around 10 B.C. and dedicated to the goddess Isis and the deified brothers Pedesi and Pihor. Originally a place of worship and mediation between the human and divine dimensions, the temple was donated by Egypt to the United States in 1965 and assigned to the Metropolitan Museum in 1968 Elongated figures by the Swiss modernist Alberto Giacometti in and around the temple Leonardo da Vinci, Madonna of the Yarnwinder, ca. 1501. A Rare Leonardo da Vinci Painting. One of fewer than 20 surviving paintings by the Renaissance Master. Madonna of the Yarnwinder by Leonardo da Vinci “It was interesting that room 609 was empty. Michelangelo’s Lost Cupid Once lost, then doubted, now embraced as the work of Michelangelo Buonarroti…so, naturally, it needed its own post. The attribution may have stirred decades of controversy, but there’s something extraordinary about standing before this Cupid and imagining that the master himself carved this marble more than 500 years ago by @art.alexandra.7

Nature always has a way of reminding me to slow down, listen, reflect, and appreciate how little we actually need to feel at peace. I keep finding that life is often most beautiful in its simplest moments. 🌿☀️ and sometimes, the best thing we can do is be still enough to notice them. by @art.alexandra.7

Before you get a dog, you can’t quite imagine what living with one might be like, afterward, you can’t imagine living any other way. The joy they bring, cant help but smile when you think of those wonderful dogs who give us so much while asking for so little. 🖤🐾 "A dog's love is the purest thing you'll ever know... It's not complicated by words or motives, just simple devotion." – R.M. Drake. by @art.alexandra.7
