I was pleased to be invited back out to Brighton again last Saturday for this year’s Art in the Park. I wanted to do something fun and eye catching for all ages, so a 5’x12’ #greenfrog🐸 it was! Thanks goes out to @brightoncolorado for having me and all the other artists out every year to showcase our art. Sunday, I spent the day down south in Castle Rock at the Art Fest for @triartsproject showcasing some chalk and street art. They helped to make some beautiful new #steer sculptures happen in town and wanted to see if I could highlight that in some way. So I did something fun and whimsy the whole family could appreciate! Of course a special thanks goes to them for inviting us out and all their hospitality while I was on site. I’m always grateful for these various opportunities that help to keep us #artists busy throughout the year. Check out the city of Brighton, and the Tri Arts Project located in Castle Rock for more information! taken in Morrison, Colorado by @art.hotspot

On Top Of The World 36” x 48” water soluble oils on canvas.

In the painting we see our hummingbird friend on top of a metal perch seemingly amazed at his surroundings. He’s as colorful as his scene, and almost disappears amongst the sea of color. Available for purchase message for info. taken in Arthotspot Studios by @art.hotspot

Well that was a fun day! We chalked until the sun went down, and there was many kids that I helped chalk today. We had pounds of chalk, stencils, as well as snacks and popsicles for the kids. Lots of parents, some volleyball players (who were a family having dinner in the park) and more. I think it’s so much fun posting up in a park and inviting any kids around to stop by and do some chalk art, have a snack and enjoy the day. Thanks goes out to @westminster.colorado for having me out and for doing this summer community engagement series at 6 different parks throughout the summer. Such a great way to build community engagement and participation. The kids had a lot of fun, so did the parents. I did as well because I only drew one bluejay…Thought I’d do two, but that plan got squashed so one got done and we had a great time. Thanks also goes out to Kate from the City of Westminster for all your hard work creating these opportunities for kids to get involved with art and all its forms! taken in Squires Park by @art.hotspot
