|Samudra manthan -
Shiva - Neelakantha

The 3rd in this series of Samudra manthan.

As Devas and the Asuras churned the ocean the first to evolve was the lethal poison emitted by Vasuki the snake. The Devas invoke Shiva the all powerful God of destruction to intervene and protect the three worlds.

Lord Shiva consumes the lethal poison saving the universe from destruction while his divine consort Parvati helps to contains it within his throat turning it to a hue of blue and hence the name Neelakantha.

Depicted here in a monochrome palette of colours is Shiva with a blue hued throat and twisted hair / jattas, deep in meditation, the Devas and Asuras churning ocean and a glimpse of Vasuki the snake.

And in the middle of all the chaos,
there was art.....

Chaos of the time gone by,
chaos of the world around....

and perhaps, beneath it all,
lies a pattern, a strange order, a quiet unfolding .....

Shine on, Shine on , you crazy diamond....
- Pink Floyd
.
'' Well, you wore out your welcome with random
precision
Rode on the steel breeze
Come on, you raver, vou seer of visions
Come on, you painter, you piper, you prisoner,
and shine
Shine on Shine on , you crazy diamond''.

I shut my eyes and worlds appear,

Whispers only I can hear,
In that dark, so vast, so deep,
.
A Restless mind spins visions,
I choose to keep ....

Same canvas. New expression.
Familiar forms, reimagined.
Perception, reinterpreted.

Art and Architecture.

An interplay of light and shadow,
walls weathered by time,
A doorway to untold stories,
Echoing layers of an ancient Indian town.

ART in motion,
Texture in conversation.
WHERE
Fluidity meets form,
A dialogue in paint.
