Most people try shooting the moon at night… but blue hour usually gives better results 🌕✨

Here are a few photography tips on how to shoot the moon and get sharper, more interesting shots.

A long lens helps, but timing matters too.

Shoot during blue hour for:
✅ Better contrast
✅ More colour in the sky
✅ Cleaner exposure
✅ Stronger foreground elements

And don’t forget — clear skies make a huge difference. Even thin clouds can soften the details and reduce sharpness.

Where I’m from — a Garden City where greenery is thoughtfully woven into the urban landscape, and even flowers that aren’t native to this place are able to bloom.

But for me, it’s the little things that shaped it: growing up in HDBs, where void decks were our playground, a place to hang out with friends, and where we waited for the school bus.

Stray cats around the HDB blocks became my first photography subjects.

The best way to learn something new? Sometimes, you just have to give it a go. 🏎️📸

My first time shooting the Singapore Grand Prix, and definitely a little out of my comfort zone!

I don’t usually shoot motorsports, so I spent time learning about F1, asking my photography friends for advice, and practising panning before race day.

Of course, things didn’t go entirely as planned. It rained just before the race, and panning is a lot harder than it looks! 😅

Not every shot turned out the way I wanted, but every attempt taught me something new about timing, tracking, and capturing the sense of speed.

Sometimes, we spend so much time waiting until we feel ready that we forget we can learn along the way.

You don’t have to be an expert to start. Just be willing to try, make mistakes, and keep learning.

Now I’m curious… 👀 What’s something you’ve always wanted to try but haven’t taken the first step towards yet?

Been an Eastie all my life, but I never knew there was such a great spot for wildlife photography in Tampines! 🐦🌿

We had quite a number of wildlife sightings, including some kingfishers that we just missed! Would’ve stayed longer to explore and photograph more, but the incoming thunderstorm had other plans. 😂⛈

Always nice to discover more of Singapore’s wildlife and appreciate the nature we have right here at home🇸🇬

Some meowments are just too cute to miss. 🐱📸

One of the new features that caught my attention is Fish Detection — it can detect and track fish, and even jellyfish in the frame👀

Too many photos to edit after a trip? And editing isn’t always easy😵‍💫📸
