What an incredible night amongst amazing people, family, colleagues, friends and other artists across Canada! I feel incredibly grateful! Thank you to everyone, @thegallerygeorge and @theresa_mura ! The exhibit will run until March 29 come by and check it out!

Here are some pieces from the “Les Jardins” collection that is so special to me mirroring the renewal, transformation, growth and temperance of life.

Les Jardins Collection

“The Les Jardins collection depicts beauty and is meant to remind us of the power of creation, growth, transformation and the temperance of life. Nature is perfect and intelligent – it doesn’t rush time – and neither does a flower until it’s ready to bloom. Winter is a period of rest, cold and darkness and is necessary for renewal and growth. This is similar to the adversities we face and survive in life in order to transform and become. The flower is a symbol that the wheel turns, winter passes and spring inevitably comes, delivering hope for the future and new beginnings. It’s the act of planting seeds, trusting, and surrendering that ultimately adds more meaning to life. What makes a flower beautiful is not its colourful appearance and beauty alone, but also in its temporary existence. In the presence of flowers we pause more, take in its beauty and open our senses to enjoy it, knowing its life is limited. We’re pleased to present Navida Bhatnagar as part of SURFACE in New York. Through layered abstraction, dynamic gesture, and vibrant chromatic tension, her work explores movement, emotional intensity, and the fragmented rhythms of perception. Her compositions create immersive visual fields where color and gesture collide between spontaneity and structure.

NxEra Art Gallery presents Navida, a Vancouver-based artist exploring emotion and transformation through abstraction.

In her paintings, nothing is fixed. Forms shift, open, and dissolve into one another. Color moves freely across the surface, sometimes dense and layered, sometimes light and atmospheric. What appears is not a single image, but a constant state of becoming.

There is a strong sense of movement in her work. Gestures overlap, textures build, and the surface carries traces of both control and spontaneity. These are not just visual decisions, they feel like moments of energy taking shape.

There is a quiet tension within the paintings. At first, they may seem calm, but the longer you look, the more they begin to unfold. Colors deepen, forms emerge and disappear, and the work slowly reveals its rhythm.

Rather than telling a fixed story, Navida creates space for experience. You do not just look at the painting, you enter it. The boundaries between color, gesture, and feeling begin to blur.
