Painting today with Anjali song playing in the background, and it hit me that’s what we’ve always called my sister, Kanmani or Ponmani. 🧡 She’s not so little anymore, now all grown up and in college, but those names still feel like home. Whenever I’m stressed or confused, just thinking of her or saying those names makes everything feel lighter. Kanmani and Ponmani ,my happy words. Some streets feel sacred. Not because of the stones or walls. But because someone unseen once walked there. Today, beside my art, tiny feet traced that path. Familiar as if they’d been there before. And just for a moment, I felt.He was near. Not in form, but in presence. In innocence. In love. In the quiet walk of a child. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #madura #madurai #Divine #PaintingWithHeart #LordKrishna #SpiritualArt #LittleKrishna #veedu #ArtistMother #Art #Sacred #KrishnaWalksHere #home by @art_greemamichael
Ganesha in tulip garden ❤️The very first painting I ever sold was of Ganesha. I remember getting just a few dollars for it, and at that time I had no idea what a dollar was worth. But that Ganesha painting taught me something priceless that my art can bring me an income. From that day onwards, I never had to look back. So today, on Ganesha Chaturthi, I felt I should paint Ganesha again. But this time, instead of canvas, I chose something more unique a jute silk saree on canvas. And Ganesha with Buddha’s shantharoopam . Sharing with you all the finished work, straight from my heart.. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #ganesh #ganeshotsav #ganeshchaturthi2025🙏❤️❤️🙏 #ganesha #ganeshvisarjan #ganeshgaitonde #ganeshfestival #ganeshji #ganeshpuja #ganapatibappamorya #art #artist #creativity by @art_greemamichael

Lately, I don’t really feel like posting on my main feed, but I keep posting on my story just to remind myself that I am out here doing something I’ve always dreamed of. But if I’m being completely honest, today is a realization that I already had a better life, and I still do. Some days I genuinely forget that I am an artist. Don’t get me wrong, research is beautiful, and creating something new in the lab or on paper feels amazing, but on the other side... I don’t even know what I was or who I’m becoming. It’s so complicated when you have two heads running at the exact same time. When things get this complicated and confusing, I start feeling like the most worthless human in the world, like I’m just a loser failing at everything. And you know what keeps me moving even in a situation like that? At times I realize that whatever nothingness I feel, I have brought a whole human child into this world, my little Veerappa and I have a sweet meow waiting for me. At the end of the day, all I’m doing right now is trying to impress my little human and my animal boy. My mental state today is at absolute 0%... but I’m boosting up. 🌿✨ #art #artist #abstract #netherlands #kochi by @art_greemamichael

I honestly don’t know how my artist friends keep their studios so clean and tidy. Mine looks like a colorful hurricane hit it, but honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way. #art #artist #creativity #diy #abstract by @art_greemamichael
The Inheritance I Never Wanted 🥹Sitting down with my two-year-old to paint was supposed to be a simple, lighthearted moment. But watching his little hands hold a professional artist’s brush with natural ease, watching him paint a delicate flower in acrylics, didn’t bring me the joyful pride a mother is “supposed” to feel. It brought a heavy, crushing grief. To anyone else, seeing early talent in your child is a reason to celebrate. To me, as an artist, it felt like watching the beginning of a quiet heartbreak. I never wanted him to inherit this. I secretly prayed he wouldn’t be like me, that he wouldn’t share this pull toward art. Because the reality of being a gifted artist, especially when you are trying to forge your own path without a safety net or family backing, is brutal. The art world is relentless and deeply unforgiving to gentle souls. I don’t want a life for him filled with the quiet mental anguish, the endless vulnerability, or the agonizing wait to be seen and understood in the way you dream of. I just wanted a simple, stable life for my boy, a steady job, a clear road, and peaceful nights where he can just sleep without the weight of undiscovered expression pressing on his chest. People might think it’s strange or ungrateful for a mother to mourn her child’s raw talent. But being an artist who stays true to their soul is a heavy cross to carry. Seeing that same spark in his tiny hands didn’t make me proud; it made my heart break for the tough road ahead. (Truthfully, I hate sharing such vulnerable pieces of myself here, but processing this out loud is a painful exercise I need to do right now.) #art #painting #family #baby #kochi by @art_greemamichael
