As an 'on location' photographer your gear has to be LEGIT!! In my experience being 'on location' will test every piece of equipment you have as well as your own abilities.Staying mobile and batter powered make for a much easier day in the field. The best way to stay mobile is with the @inovativ computer carts designed for all sorts of professional use. Powering my 27" @eizo_global monitor and charging my laptop is the @bluetti_official EB240 Portable Power Station. This will run my station all day plus another half day. It truly is a stress free setup!All my cameras are @canonusa cameras. The R5 C is a 45 megapixel BEAST of a mirrorless camera. Insane focusing system and quality. I give this camera 10/10 stars! by @art_via_light

Human Intelligence, creativity and not ever getting hired despite my college degree caused me to work for myself 15 years ago. It's been a blast, ups and downs, broke and relatively rich times but the best part was and always has been the joy of creating something from a human thought and through real actual physical work.Its sad to know my industry will be replaced by AI images. Everywhere I walk I see AI ads and AI commercials, I've had clients multiple year clients slip into the shadows of AI. The humans are being taken out of the art for the sake of profitLet me ask you this, who are these AI companies going to sell to when those replaced by AI can't afford to buy from them. Fashion shoot for @kinrosscashmere at the historic @hotelcrescentcourt . We did a half day shoot both photos and videos. I'll post the photos next.For on location lifestyle shoots where I shoot both photo and video I aim to use natural light as key and then I add diffused hair light and a 6x6 scrim jim for bounce or catch. Here's my lighting strategy for on location shoots where I plan to mix strobe lighting with available lighting(lighting already in the scene).1st: I white balance my camera to the color temperature of the available light. In this case tungsten (3200)2nd: I expose my scene without my lights to get a slightly underexposed background. 3rd: I add CTO gels to my daylight balanced light in order to match the tungsten temperature. 4th: Now I turn on my lights, position them and expose them for the camera setting I have set for the background.5th: Problem solve. We had to hold a diffusing reflector over the models head to soften the hard light from the stores lights.The results are you get natural looking lighting, while maintaining light direction and shape. Make sure you place your lights at angles where you keep the light from spilling onto the walls. This October 1st-7th I'll be in Mexico doing Ayahuasca, kambo and bufo. Shadow work, growth and healing and getting the final shots to my 4 year long documentary film. This film and my personal development has seemed to be intertwined. The universe new it had to take my passion for film and use it for my growth as a person. Imagine doing a 4 hour shoot, on location, both photos and video. Our shoot with @saffronjewelry in Dallas was a complete success. Not only did we capture the clients stunning jewelry in stills, we doubled their content by shooting vertical reels. Adding video to photo shoots just makes sense. We have all the gear there, product and model, why not double the content for just a few more minutes for video.
