Isn't he the cutest?? 🥹🐶💜 My favourite painting in my purple and yellow spread so far!
I think St Bernard puppies are some of the cutest puppies out there, do you agree? And now all this puppy needs now is a name, do you have suggestions??

Everything I painted in June, hosting the challenge #junewithsharry2025 ! It's been so fun creating this prompts and seeing how you all interpret them, thank you for joining, you're a talented bunch ✨️❤️ I've had fun doing painting these prompts, my favourites are the two beach&mountain scenes. Which is your favourite? And if you joined the challenge, which prompt was your favourite to paint?

1/12 'Mountain' - I started off painting the mountain prompt for our #junewithsharry2025 challenge, but I think it's actually more accurate that I painted the 'home' prompt. Mountains have a lot of meaning for me, and these very distinct Cape mountains surrounding Cape Town have the essence of home. Living abroad for the past few years, whenever I fly back to Cape Town and glimpse these mountains again, it feels like a homecoming.
Do you have anything similar that gives you a sense of home?

Absolute joy 🪁
I remember very vividly the joy of flying kites with my siblings and dad on the Common in Cape Town, when I was very little. Makes me wanna pick up again and try it again, it’s been so long!
Do you guys enjoying flying kites? And when last did you do it? ✨

This image popped into my head the moment I decided I wanted to paint a peaceful spring scene, and I immediately sketched out the composition! I often associate spring with sheep in open fields with their lambs, and although this isn’t a lamb I still think it can capture that seasonal feeling 🌸

It’s so good to be back painting again after a long break!! Now I’ve been thinking of ideas of what to paint next or what project to get into.. any suggestions?l from you guys?✨

And here's my purple and yellow spread done 💜💛 Filling up the spaces with these last illustrations is sooo satisfying! I especially love the butterflies flittering all over the page, it's such a magical detail to add, I had added a bunch on my last red and green spread and they worked so well I had to add them here. 🦋

I'm curious, what's your favourite part of this spread?

✨️ Bird series ✨️
Some of the birds I've painted over the last year! I've just realised that a lot of them are ducks 🤭 I absolutely looove ducks, and really want a pet one one day, so obviously that's manifesting in my paintings haha. Also, here's a fun fact: my first word I ever said was 'duck'! 😂
What's your favourite painting from this bird series?

Painting my sister onto my purple and yellow spread! 💜💛 I enjoyed playing around with the colours here, and I'm super pleased with the results. When I showed it to my mom she said 'oh but it looks just like her!' So I'm glad I got that right too 🤭
Thanks for being a lovely model @rachelwestabc !

I've recently painted a friend, and now my sister, and I'm really enjoying painting someone I know! Who would you paint if you could? ✨️

First painting of the year! A magical moon to my purple and yellow spread 💜💛 I found this so tricky to paint! I'm gonna have to practice painting moons, but I'm pleased with the final, dreamy result 😍 What do you think?

And a happy new year to everyone! Wishing you all much love, joy and creativity for 2026 ✨️😊

Art vs Artist ✨️

This year I created more art than I'd ever before - and stumbled apon gouache, which has now become my favourite medium! I'm so pleased with how my art skills have grown this year, and also for all the art friends I've made on this platform! Thank you immensely for all your support, here's to creating even more art in 2026 ✨️🖌🎨

Tulips in my purple and yellow spread! 💜💛 I love how many flowers I'm adding to this page! Tulips definitely fitted the theme well. I've still got quite a lot of space left, what do you think I should add next? Or should I paint to the other sketches I've already added?

A sunset for my purple and yellow spread! 💜💛 thank you for the suggestion @brushstrokes.by.kate , I really liked the idea of a purple and yellow sky for this spread! I also added a lavender field to add to the purple scheme. ✨️ I generally really struggle painting skies, and I did find it difficult, but I'm happy with the result.
