POSTS STORIES REELS

The Israeli government is planning to send Yamen, 16, back to Gaza, where the health system is on the verge of total collapse. His mother expresses deep concern, saying he wouldn’t survive a day in a tent camp without medical care. Yamen urgently needs a medical evacuation to a country that can provide the necessary treatment for his condition.

Yamen Al Najjar is a 16-year-old Palestinian boy from Gaza, suffers from a rare bleeding disorder and experiences recurring bleeding episodes, accompanied by dangerous drops in temperature and blood pressure.

His home in Gaza City has been bombed, leaving his family displaced and living in a tent in Khan Younis. Yamen has remained in a Palestinian hospital in East Jerusalem since before the Genocide .

Yamen recently sent me a letter that reads:

“Hello Ms. Rachel,

I am Yamen Al Najjar from Gaza.

I am 16 years old.

My dream is to receive medical treatment and to live in safety and peace. Additionally, I aspire to become a doctor and a famous artist.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support for children.

I have been in a hospital in Jerusalem for over two years, and my dream is to go abroad, receive medical treatment, and start a new life with my family because I miss them.

Thank you for sharing my message with the world.

I am Yamen ❤️🤍 I want to share my deepest gratitude to the incredible poet Penelope for organizing this beautiful exhibition and for giving my art and my story a space to reach the world.
Through my paintings, I share my feelings, my memories, and my dreams. Art has always been my way of expressing myself and showing that creativity and hope can grow even in the most difficult moments.
My dream is to continue creating art, to receive the medical care and treatment I need, and to be reunited with my family in a place where we can live safely and peacefully. I hope to build a future where I can keep sharing my voice and my imagination with the world.
Thank you, Penelope, for believing in my art and supporting my journey. Thank you to everyone who visited the exhibition, appreciated my work, and became a part of this beautiful experience. ❤️🎨 @penelopethepowerfulpoet @salamisarah @laila__g890 @midnightbooksla by @art_yne_

I am happy to share my painting in Barcelona, in memory of Hind Rajab and all the children, and in solidarity with her mother. This gives me great hope that my paintings and colors can travel and reach the world, and I dream of the day when I will travel too—for treatment—just like my paintings, carrying my colors and my story with me🤍

Children in Gaza drew their dreams with @msrachelforlittles

They drew homes, schools, games, hugs.
They drew what all children dream of.

Today we remember Hind.
Hind was 6 years old.

I’m here to tell the adults something important:
children don’t need more words.
We need action.

Action so children in Gaza can live,
go to school, play, and be happy.

For Hind.
For the children of Gaza.

Thank you: @ranadaughterofgaza @art_yne_ @ahmedh.madi @with_anfal8 @yara_yousef.1 @iimrahaf.9

————-
Los niños y las niñas de Gaza dibujaron sus sueños con Ms. Rachel.
Dibujaron casas, escuelas, juegos, abrazos.
Dibujaron lo que todos los niños soñamos.

Hoy recordamos a Hind.

Just as Harry Potter uses his wand, Yamen uses his art to create magic💫🎨 Using light, Yamen gave a single painting multiple presences, adding a touch of magic to it 🌑🌗🌕 by @art_yne_

Between magic and time my dream begins 💫✨
