HEYYOW what’s good😋⭐️ i’ve been feeling so happie and bubbly since the day i finished this Kebaya Kutubaru piece <3

For the record, Kebaya is an Indonesian traditional garment worn by women in Southeast Asian contries. It’s usually made from velvet, cotton, lace, gauze, or other fabrics AND sometimes adorned with embroidery🌸
A little fact, Kebaya used to be a once-a-year (even none-a-year sometimes😂) thing when i was a kid. I always saw it merely as a formal attire that Indonesian women wear on weddings, Hari Kartini, graduation, and other formal occasions. So silly of me i know :p I explored types of Kebaya and discovered the joy of wearing them a lot more frequently since high school<3I fell in love with how you could just go wild with colours with it, and yeah sure you could spot me going on casual museum dates or even to the mall wearing my shocking pink Kebaya Kutubaru🤭⭐️

It took me 4 months to create this piece, plus ANOTHER month to work on the written pattern, and i couldn’t be more happy with the result🤍 i’m obsessed with how the sleeve pattern (that took me almost 2 months to create and do the stitch MATH while doing my thesis LOL) screams Batik Kawung! I’ve been longing for Kebaya to be worn by more and MORE women cause i personally feel so DIVINE in it so here’s my attempt🥹💖 since it’s a fitted made-to-measure piece, I might need a big group of testers helping me, varying in sizes and sleeve options! So please consider💕

Tester call will begin sometime this week so be updated!!!! i am super excited for my first-ever garment pattern AAAAAAAAAAAA

Menyambut hari kemerdekaan dengan Kebaya baruuuu! Dengan 3 Bunga Puspa Bangsa di tengah hehehe ❤️🪷 kemerdekaan kali ini bukan cuma kita rayakan dengan bendera, tapi juga dengan karya yang bawa cerita tentang kita: perempuan, pegiat seni, pejuang, and ofc… pecinta benang :3 (yarn hoarder) :3
