“Buddha/Nirvana” molecules/TANGLE, creating WATER/vapors at different temperatures, add in the angles and that’s me; RAINBOWss! RADIATING colorful, percolating every color on the spectrum, vibrating in different lights depending on the intelligence/awareness/consciousness and addendum to detail. Feeling so good I surrender in free/Fall, suspender over shoulders every failure then rendered them see/THROUGH.. In the mirror brushing my teeth/SPEW, toothpaste in the sink rinse my mouth, growl looking close at my teeth, front/TWO, ewww, still food in the front tooth, flossed it now removed. Grab the towel, dry my mouth, put it back on the rack, close the door head through the hall, out the front, turn/AROUND, keys/OUT pushed them in, turned the lock, then back in my pocket; now i’m/OFF.. i/WALK reaching the gate, turning right on the sidewalk until finally seeing Lacienega and the bus drive/OFF, missing it; feeling my patience/ESCAPE. Screaming in fit of rage, lost my every bit of sage, purely/exhausted, dizzying light/HEARTED tripped backwards onto the bench from where the bus departed, and thrust me into how this/STARTED! This is retarded, shoes covered in dog/S*^*, hands in mustard; but on a second glance down, it wasn’t what I thought it was at first, matter of fact, it’s nothing I ever saw/BEFORE. Just sticking out from under a newspaper, looked like a tick tack box, but inside was more of a jolly rancher, GLOWING! I took it out, sniffed it, weird, no/AROMA permeating, so I held it closer to my nose wondering what in the hell, is this thing. “Block star shoes” Elusive, grew up as the accused/kid, beers/dubies outside glasses up cheers to/me, unruly handshaking peers usually no idea who is/HE, damn that bad who is/SHE!? Block/star, rock/hard powder and SHARDS. Music gets louder in cars, bbqin, devouring pork, Carne Asada, chicken, mac and cheese, potato salad and corn! Pharmaceuticals, Don an ORIGINAL, when shrimps on the grill. Aight spark the blunt, let me tell you that time we almost got popped with a boat, business or fun still nobody/knows.. Hit the corner made eye contact with five/oh, so I took the right, drove close enough to see the white in his eyes where we literally said hi! Passed em, staring into rearview to play/off his reaction, then his lights began flashin, so we dashin pedal down gassin! Hit the market parked/it, jumped out and walked/IN. Told little homie here’s my ecstasy hold these for me, as I’m downing the 40. Three days out, weed half/pound, cocain quarter/ounce, with a little more than $700 to count.. Prepackaged bags safety pinned in boxers, I told little homie don’t look back get home safely and I’ll call you/UP; showed love, hand/Shaked and HUGGED.. Paid for my drink while cashiers asking about the police. Host April DeMille interviews magazine photographer and author Brandon Marshall on Own Your Essence. Brandon reflects on turning 40, earning his GED, attending two semesters of school, and publishing his third book (having written six). He discusses quitting alcohol three times and deciding on December 11th to stop for good, while still using marijuana and periodic mushrooms for spiritual grounding. Brandon recounts childhood abuse, being malnourished by his stepmother, and drinking to numb hunger and gain courage, leading to violence, juvenile hall, jail, and two prison terms. A later incarceration in Arizona became a catalyst for change and future goals. He describes two years of celibacy, simplifying life, disconnecting from TV, spirituality, and his book “My Life as Soul Foods,” which shares real stories of trauma, growth, and awareness, alongside his photography as an identity anchor after prison.Born in Los Angeles, Brandon Marshall experienced significant instability early in life. After his parents separated when he was five years old, he moved back and forth between Los Angeles and the rural area of Valley Springs. During his childhood, he witnessed domestic violence and suffered abuse.Brandon began drinking at the age of 11 and was in juvenile hall by 17. Over the years, he spent time in six county jails and, by age 25, served his first prison term. He completed his last prison sentence at 30.Since then, Brandon has worked hard to rebuild his life and create a new path forward. “Infinite self-expressions” WATERING/hole, {many animals: Humans; Ducks; Fish; Crickets; Flies; Nat’s; Mosquitoes,} intaking the suns/FEVER. IN MY/eyeballs,NATURE is just repeating over and OVER.. Fish breaches/surface of the water/SPLASHES, mandibles appearing as if they might have grabbed the insect before disappearing back under the waves caused by the jet skis thrashing. LETS/see next/SEEN, was one adult carrying an Ice chest, left side dragging behind his each/STEP. overhead/Bird flew past; in the water close enough to touch 8 ducks a float in a row paddling, in N out of swimmers and canoes; tickles, as I’m also experiencing this! FISHES/force my gaze down to two TINY/minnows nibbling on my/TOES.. REALITY, if you only look close, is Godspeed, EVERYTHING in the habitat breathes, talks, and feeds, at the level of simple energy; before even the need to SUCK YOUR/teeth in order to form words with simple letters sounded out to express some deeper sentiment that climbed the latter. “A deeper sentiment, Climbed the latter! How did you get to PLANET/earth, again?!” Mom came first, dad shot sperm; “your an Idiot, you know what I mean!” {SIMPLE, the Universe.} Let’s see how good I am, while trying to describe it in reverse.. This is the FIRST TIME, I have made a post, in recognition of my birthday!!! This is the big FOUR/zero 👀 Rewind my tape back to 2016, when I got out of prison, at 30 🥶 and it was the worst birthday FEELING EVER. I was DWELLING that I didn’t have a GED, a job, career, goals, or ANY DIRECTIONS 💀 Stop the tape. At 30, on a PRISON MATTRESS, made the decision to say: “F$&/K THIS!” I decided (WITHOUT EVER HAVING A CAMERA) Upon my release, I would get out to create and pursue a career as a magazine photographer. It made sense at the time 🫠 Fast forward to me turning 34, with more than 20 publications; ON TOP of 5 of my VERY OWN magazines 🥂 Push play, at 35, God resonates with me, GIVING ME “SPIRIT talking to my soul.” Next was my GED, to then immediately enrolling in college and getting a 4.0 in my first semester. During this period, God then gave me “MY LIFE as soul food.” Hit Stop again.. If you piece together the ENERGY AND TIME IT TOOK, to do what I have done with the LAST TEN YEARS OF MY LIFE, I think that this year, ON THIS DAY, I will stop.. AND ALLOW YOU TO CELEBRATE ME NOW; as I celebrate this ONE, as well. 🤩 PS, for my 40th, year on earth.. I’m spending it finalizing my third book. I recently started following Deb, because her energy grabbed me! AS SOON as you click on @ita_deb_medicina page (& FOLLOW!) you will understand. She specializes in holistic practices, with a ritualistic purpose, geared towards {ALL -WOMEN-GROUPS.} What I didn’t realize was @iamsupremeharmony simultaneously would be creating vibrational sound waves through her crystal water bowls; while Deb went over different scents; and sensations to bring me out, and then become in-tuned and grounded as Self again.. @qt_boo also specializes in this art doing the same with the other people who came. None of that surprised me as much, as how they ended it. We went around the group and shared personal points that one EITHER needed to SAY or HEAR! We went in a circle, and in this circle of Spirituality we discussed important topics and the burden sometimes of SEEKING our higher/SELVES! To be included today, in this type of energy and INTENTION, was heartfelt and I smiled all day in the FACT that my Brown Sisters seen me back.. LADIES who support me, these women are Knowledgeable and Deb, will be someone I start looking up to {personally with my future direction and goals in mind, for guidance and light..} I Love this woman, and if you FOLLOW my work and the direction of what I’m doing, please also include {my Brown Sisters WORKING FOR THE COMMUNITY} ❤️🤍🌎🙏🏾 taken in Crescent Bay Park by @artbp13
