There is something so enrapturing about seeing two completely different varieties of Earth’s creations side by side. We are so used to seeing crystals in our homes and on our screens that we hardly view them within their natural habitat and get to experience the striking beauty of Nature’s creations IN nature! My goal for this collection of carefully curated crystals was to highlight the beauty of where these gems came from, and how they bring said beauty into our lives.

Black Ice is a theme I’ve wanted to explore for a while, and since we are quickly moving into Spring weather there’s no better time than the present to release one more icy crystal live sale table! Yesterday I drove a few hours to explore some absolutely stunning ice formations - the pieces I have curated for this collection are beyond beautiful, and I knew to capture their essence fully I needed to find the perfect location to photograph them in.

Our Black Ice sale will center around the following colors: clear, black, white, grey, deep blues, icy blues, and shiny silvers. The crystals featured in this post are: Labradorite, Blue Barite, Lemurian Quartz, and Silver Rutile. I hope you enjoyed these photos - let me know your thoughts in the comments 🤍

🪞 Introducing The Sterling Collection 🪞 I have to know - which pieces are you most drawn to? Let me know in the comments ⬇️

Happy Wednesday everyone! I am so beyond ecstatic to share this jewelry collection that I’ve been working hard on behind the scenes with you all! Every piece you see here is made completely of solid Sterling Silver - each charm was made by hand by me with molds, fingers, clay cutters, paint brushes, and more. I strung each on a Sterling Silver chain that I believed fit their aesthetic (you’ll see three different chain types used in the photo), and now they are ready to be seen by the world!
•
These were made via one of my favorite new silversmithing methods - silver clay. Silver clay is a clay-like material made out of particles of sterling silver bound to particles of clay. It dries down much faster than regular clay, and is very tricky to work with. Once dried 24 hours, you have a dried clay piece. At that point, I spend hours sanding down each piece’s rough points and using small drilling heads to enhance the details. Once the piece is about where I’d like it to be, I fire it! I don’t have a kiln, so instead I use my silversmith torch and keep it at an even glowing peach tone for about ten minutes. Doing this burns away all the clay particles, causing the sterling silver particles to bond together which leaves you with a solid piece of sterling silver! At that point, I use my torch to attach hooks on each piece, and then each charm goes through about 7 different polishing steps and many hours of tumbling to achieve this beautiful look.

I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on these pieces! Each piece shown here took hours of work to make, and will range in price from $60-$120. These are true heirloom pieces that can last you a lifetime and more - as sterling silver prices rise, these will only grow in value. Each will come with a high end polishing cloth to ensure you can keep your necklace sparkling!

Happy Wednesday everyone! This Saturday’s “High Quality Minis” live sale is packing some serious heat, and today I want to show you two of the beautiful options that will be featured that I feel especially drawn to. It’s no secret that I’m a huge Feldspar lover - whether we are talking Moonstone, Sunstone, or Labradorite, I’m a fan! But today we are going to dive into the two varieties that contrast each other in such a beautiful way - Sunstone and Moonstone.

Sunstone ☀️ Aventurescence
Sunstone is a Feldspar variety known for its glimmering, rainbow-y flash that comes from small inclusions within the base material. These inclusions tend to be Hematite or Copper based, and sit just under the surface waiting for the light to hit just right! This gorgeous visual effect is called Aventurescence, and the better the effect, the nicer the piece of Sunstone you hold.

Moonstone 🌙 Adularescence
Moonstone is my favorite variety of Feldspar, characterized by its distinctly white base and magical colored flashes that appear when situated just right under a light source. This effect is called Adularescence, and happens due to light bouncing back and forth between the material’s internal structure! The most common colors for this effect are blue and yellow, although in rarer cases you may see purple, green, pink, and more. The nicer the material is, the better and more easily this effect can be viewed!

This week I truly need a refresh. Life has been so busy trying to continue creating while also attempting to catch up at home, and so I’ve decided that we will be postponing this upcoming Saturday’s sale until next week.

Happy Wednesday everyone! Before we get into this gorgeous necklace, I want to thank you for your understanding of my lack of content this week as I prepare to return to east coast for a family funeral. Your kind words and support have been very appreciated!

After the Gothic Garden live sale, I had many people inquire about turning my final carved rose labradorite into a custom pendant. Due to the amount of inquiries rolling in at the same time, it didn’t feel fair to choose one person - which is why last week I had you vote for how you wanted this piece released! Over 50% of voters asked for a 24 hour story auction, so that is how this pendant is going to be made available.
