Thanks to Walpole Primary School for inviting me to illustrate this years Graduation Jumper. I'm happy with how this one came out!

For anyone curious, I have been quiet lately. I don't want to use META for a start, due to its AI scraping, but also I'm just busy with parenting.

Thanks so much to @xeroxdays for including #Walpolekidscomics on their table at this years @perthcomicartsfestival when I could not be there.
I did manage to slip in to see @stick_mob do their talk but then had to run off to parenting and travel duties. It was a great talk and so happy I got to see it. ! by @artbynathanviney

I made a new music album. It is over at https://narrowboatdreams.bandcamp.com/album/slow-stories and also available on YouTube. by @artbynathanviney

2024 is almost up so I thought I'd upload my annual creative collage as many do. A weird year this year. A lot of stressful and beautiful distractions to keep me away from my art. This year I worked as a Creative Practitioner for the local school which was very rewarding. I continued work on my play that I said I'd completed in 2023, worked on some music with @dan_dymons and produced a full A3 comic strip about the evils of gen AI for the @perthcomicartsfestival, which was a joy really. To finish the year I did a short comic and interview with WA TV legend, Rick Ardon. My big plans for a Walpole Kids return were unfortunately put on the back burner this year, but I look forward to getting into that in 2025. I also began researching neurodiversity which has been interesting.
Most importantly and slightly less creatively, my partner and I had our second baby boy this year. We named him Fernley and he is wonderful. by @artbynathanviney

Thanks to Rick Ardon from @7perth @channel7 for accepting a written interview with a fictional character! Check out this week's Walpole Weekly at www.walpole.org.au to read a new #walpolekidscomics strip or pick up a copy tomorrow in a local Walpole store.

A moment to remember the excellent Timothy West who passed away today. Timothy and his wife Prunella are the reason I still have Britbox. Jas and I have been watching their Great Canal Journeys almost every morning since 2020. For me personally, it calms me into the day with a coffee after being woken up by a noisy toddler. I've always loved narrowboats, slow journeys, ducks and history! It is thoughtful and funny. Timothy and Prunella have become part of our family.
Thanks for your canal journeys Timothy. RIP #timothywest #greatcanaljourneys
