And that’s a wrap!! Had an amazing time teaching portraits this weekend. Somehow I feel this particular portrait is easier for students to learn and hence I stick to this portrait. You might be wondering that I teach this portrait every time. 🤔 anyhow. Was a blast today and looking forward to teaching more !! ❤️ #chennaiartworkshop #chennaiartist #oilpainting taken in Hindustan Trading Company - Fine Art & Stationery Since 1974 by @artbypragzz

This weekend, some of the work found its way into the BCAT 2026 Brooklyn Ceramic Art Show at @heyclaybrooklyn What appears effortless on a pedestal rarely feels effortless in the studio. Glaze tests failed. Colors shifted unexpectedly. Surfaces cracked. I remade more than 20 ceramic forms before arriving at these 3 finished pieces. The breast forms are part of A Tax Paid in Flesh, an ongoing project that explores women’s bodies as sites of labor, dignity, memory, and resistance. Working in ceramics taught me patience. Every firing became a negotiation between intention and surrender, control and chance. Grateful to the Brooklyn Arts Fund @bkartscouncil for supporting not only the final work, but also the experimentation, failures, and persistence that made it possible. #bcat2026 #brooklynceramics #ceramicart #contemporaryceramicart #brooklynartist taken in Brooklyn, New York by @artbypragzz

First time receiving a Brooklyn Arts Fund Grant and feeling deeply grateful. Thank you to the Brooklyn Arts Council @bkartscouncil and NYC Department of Cultural Affairs @nyculture for supporting emerging artists and believing in work that is still evolving, questioning, and growing. This support will help me continue developing my interdisciplinary practice across painting, sculpture, installation, and moving image. Last night from 2026 Brooklyn Arts Awards celebrating BAC’s 60th anniversary — surrounded by an incredible community of Brooklyn artists, cultural workers, and storytellers. Grateful to be part of this cohort. 🤍 #BAC60 #brooklynartsawards by @artbypragzz

Funding made possible by the Puffin Foundation @puffinbrooklyn. Currently working on a series of kintsugi-inspired, broken and mended breast sculptures for “A Tax Paid in Flesh.” This body of work will come together as a sculptural installation of 12 pieces—each holding fracture, repair, and memory within its form. 💫 Time in Her Hands ✨ 5 x 7, oil on panel Swipe for process shots of this second piece. Shot in 2023 with my sister. I was thinking about technology, the contemporary saree, and the quiet presence of women navigating both. Somewhere in the process, it shifted. It became about something else I keep returning to: women who carry, resist, and rewrite what is placed on them. Adding this to the ongoing body of work. Used AI to put paintings next to each other* #oilpaintings #oilonpanel #sareelove❤️ #southasian #contemporaryartnyc taken in Brooklyn, New York by @artbypragzz
