Hello! I painted this persimmon a while ago and forgot to post it🫪 welp here you go! How did i do? Does it look realistic? (Let's not talk about how i probably forgot to paint a shadow)

I used watercolors as I'm most comfortable using them. Years back, I started out painting using watercolors so it's easier for me. Painted them cause I was and am still obsessed with persimmons. They look so bright and beautiful🧡 so I definitely will be doing an acrylic painting of them on my canvas that I experimented with Gesso on. #art #painting #fyp #watercolor #artist

I made some homemade Gesso so I decided to make a How-To reel as well so you guys can make one too!

It's pretty easy and I think this does the trick. You only need a bit of hot to warm water in a cup and then add a generous amount of White glue to it. Then you add the base, for which I recommend using Corn Flour but if you don't have that on hand then you can use baby powder. Then you just mix and apply a 1st layer on the canvas.

Let This Layer Dry! Keep it aside overnight if you have to~ then do another layer on the 1st one. If you think the surface of the canvas isn't smooth or equal then you can sand it with Sandpaper and then do another layer of this Gesso if you have to!

If you tried this then please let me know how it was and which type of paints you used on the canvas such as Acrylics, Oil paints, Gouache, etc!! I needed to make a small amount for my mini canvas and I'll share what I'm gonna paint on it next✨️🍊
