My next step in learning to paint. 🎨

A monochrome landscape in oil. Exploring mist, reflections, light and shadow — and learning to work with a new medium.

Every painting teaches me something new.

Still learning. Still experimenting. Still enjoying the journey. 🎨

My first monochrome landscape in oil. 🎨
Exploring light and shadow in a new medium. Oil paint is teaching me to work differently, but I’m slowly finding my way.
Still learning. Still experimenting.

My first oil painting study. 🎨
A simple grayscale study of a sphere, focusing on light, shadow and volume.
A completely new medium for me, but another step forward on my journey of learning to paint.
Still learning. Still practicing.

Inspired by Anders Zorn’s Sommarnöje (Summer Pleasure), 1886.
Another charcoal study and another step on my journey.
