I am beyond grateful to have been chosen to be featured in SHE:DC, the largest woman and non-binary art show in the DMV! With over 700 submissions, my piece was one of 210 from 180 artists selected. It’s always been a dream to take @artbywiz to higher levels and I’m so glad it’s becoming a reality.

“Flourishing Essence” will be on display @shopmadeindc in Georgetown all month and is for sale in person and online. Please feel free to stop by and see the amazing work from other artists as well! To view the online gallery, please visit the link in my bio.

My favorite piece of all-time.

Graduating from Howard with my nursing degree is one of my greatest accomplishments to date. Lots of thought went into my grad cap design. Despite the limited space, I knew I wanted to pay homage to my village and myself. My cap will always hold a special place in my heart. Swipe to the end to learn more about my cap and each piece’s significance 🤍🎓

Long time, no see! I can’t believe it has been so long since I’ve posted. Finding my passion to paint again has been very humbling, but I’m so excited to give my first love another try. I will be posting unseen pieces in the meantime. I appreciate all of your unconditional support 🫶🏽 stay tuned! by @artbywiz

Fisk x AKA jacket made by me 💫

Despite creating artwork more challenging than this one, this jacket was by far the hardest one to start and finish. Doing @artbywiz over the last four years has pushed me as an artist in more ways than I could imagine; however, it’s also burned me out time and time again. It’s becoming harder to create for others and my passion for it continues to dwindle.

Lots of changes are about to occur in my life—art is not to be excluded. Commissions will no longer be my primary work of art. Instead, I hope to find my niche and go from there.

For commissions, be on the lookout for when I post availability. Thank you to everyone who has supported me thus far and I look forward to you all seeing what I have in store in the future. 🤍

Finals season is here which means I have the opportunity to complete final presentations in the form of art! For my Climate Change, Energy & Social Justice class, I conducted research on the effects of environmental racism on birth outcomes of Black mothers in the United States. I decided to share my findings by creating a digital piece to present to my class. What takeaways are you getting from this piece? Share your thoughts below!
